My book is showing Louisville at -14 1/2. What are you thoughts on the value of buying the half point and locking in Louisville at -14? Louisville was firing on all cylinders week one and i'm hoping they can keep the train rolling.

RC16 - I'd be ok with 14. Louisville will keep rolling, but it won't roll any better than it did last week for the rest of the season. IT WAS CHARLOTTE! Let's not forget that.
Louisville killed Syracuse last year 41-17 and Lamar Jackson wasn't the QB in that game. Louisville had a slow start last year, mostly due to an inexperienced O-Line. With another year of experience and muscle, they are much improved. The D is still strong even though they lost an NFL 1st rd. pick.
Syracuse hiring Dino Babers is a great addition, but it's year one, and that usually doesn't bode well for a rebuilding program. Beating Colgate 33-7 may have the Orange in high spirits, but this Friday night will bring them back to reality.
Thinking a 38-13 type game. Hell, what do I know. I had Clemson winning by almost the same score last week. LOL

I know SMU has been blown out the last 2 years by Baylor, but in year 2 of the Morris regime, I believe SMU will put up at least 24 or more. Just don't see Baylor scoring 56 or more. Baylor wins 48-27.
NC St. -4.5
Dave Doeren is on the hot seat this year and needs this win to get to 6 wins. ECU always plays with a chip on their shoulder when playing ACC schools. Also with the game in Greenville, it would seem that ECU would be the play here. Not so fast. ECU has new HC and I believe the jury is still out on how good ECU will be this year. Love the hiring of Eliah Drinkwitz as OC for the Wolfpack! The former Boise St OC is just what Doeren needs to use the nice corps of WR appropriately. QB Findlay is adequate enough to get the job done for NC St. NC St. 27-20

No worries BIG NC St. should win by 7. I know ECU always plays with a chip on their shoulder against ACC schools, but Doeren is coaching for his job! ECU coach is a 1st year guy and not that motivated, IMO.
Good luck on your picks!
