Anyone like Leach and Mississippi State? Revenge from last year.
maybe the over is a good play ? Ole miss surprisingly hasn’t been high scoring and playing good defense … but miss st is a hard team to defend and ole miss will have to keep up

@green33
I was actually thinking UNDER, because you saw Kiffin put over Leach on College Gameday as the "best offensive coordinator in the game." And Leach said the same about him. Ole Miss has a good defense too. I don't know. Let the chess match begin.

I’m from Mississippi and keep up with both of these teams. It’s always a toss up no matter what each teams record is. State at home in my opinion has the advantage. Both teams are playing well and this came always comes down to the last possession. I’m going with the home team (Mississippi State)

Actually if you look at the past 75 years between these two schools there have been very few upsets. I'm talking about one team being a double digit favorite and losing the game. It's only happened 4 times in 75 years. So the old saying "you can throw out the record books" is garbage on my opinion. Both teams will give their best effort and I do expect this one to be fairly close. Ole Miss is getting Mingo back and Corral is now healthy. Despite a lackluster performance against Vandy I think OM is the better team. Ole Miss has been playing much better on defense and their 3-2-6 scheme actually matches up well with what Leach does. I'll take the Rebels in this one.

Miss st has been bi-polar all year. They may be behind 14 at half and come back and win going away. Any bet on this game is a true gamble. The books are telling you this with the near pic em line.

I can't bet against Ole Miss here, they are the better team and Miss State has been fooling people as of recent.. Auburn is not a good team right now, clearly.. so the way they came back doesn't look the same after South Carolina literally just did the same thing Saturday..
This is Ole Miss year and Corral playing in last Egg Bowl, I just can't go against what they're doing or just stay away.. I trust them more than Miss State

I like the over I think the offenses are better than the defenses even though the defenses have improved I think we see a ton of possessions and a lot of scoring in this rivalry

@weathersharp
I used to believe the rain caused games to go UNDER.. but what I found out was they go OVER.. if you were implying it’s supposed to rain

@lordzud
Corral was not limping at all last week vs Vandy although Kiffin was obviously not wanting him to run very much. And they have taught Corral to slide which he used to never do early in the season.

The Ole Miss kicker has been suspended for PED use. They have no other kicker who has made a FG or extra pt this season. I assume Kiffin will go for it on 4th down even more than before, if that is possible.

One fact to note: Ole Miss sleepwalked against Vandy last week; State was pedal to the metal against Tenn St. Rebels were the team resting players up for the Egg Bowl.
I'm from Miss. too...unless your crystal ball is spot on, this never has been a good game to bet...great to watch. The rivalry between State and Ole Miss is about as mean and deep as it gets in college foots.

@RebelTell2
I live in Oxford and follow it very closely. The Rebels were hoping to get far enough ahead of Vandy so they could rest starters but that never happened. In fact Matt Corral chewed out the offense after the game and they all know they must play a lot better to beat State. That being said, I do expect a full effort by both teams. Neither team will be flat and even without their #1 kicker I expect the Rebels to pull this one out. It will be a close game with plenty of scoring. Corral will run more than he has since the Tenn game. Both teams will pull out all the stops, and as you said, there is no love lost between these two teams and fan bases.

One more thing. Ole Miss finally has all their receivers healthy for the first time in 6 weeks. And Corral is not limping anymore. I think they know they will need to score at least 40+ to win this game but I think they can do that.
