Look we all know who's going to win but a 35 point spread for a conference game OTR, even at VANDY is very uncommon. In fact the last 10 times these 2 have played we've only seen one 30+ point spread and that was at Georgia in 2014. You think the oddsmakers are telling us something? If you like VANDY, "We only need to get lucky with 2 scores. We can get those in the 4th quarter when their backups are playing." Sure, like Georgia's backups won't be playing hard. And of course if the Dawgs have 50+, which they will, those 2 scores ain't gonna matter. No Re' Mahn Davis to run the ball, an immobile QB Ken Seals, and a noon forecast of sacks, 3 and outs, and TOs for Vandy will lead to a plethora of possessions for the Dawgs who will score on most of them. Even the oddsmakers, who do occasionally make a mistake, but in general are pretty good at their job, have broadcasted this blowout. No backdoor cover, no lookahead game next week, no disrespect Arkansas who visits Athens then, and maybe even no points for Vandy. More like "Nomercy" on Vandy manana...I'll gladly lay the 35 here.
DAWGS 56, 'DORES 7.
DAWGS, -35, -110
As always good luck to all!

People must think I am batshit crazy for taking these big chalk teams on the road. Having said that, it really looks like Georgia’s defense is really really good. In fact, they are ranked 3 in the country behind Iowa State and Wisconsin but, in reality, Georgia’s defense is better than either of those teams. Georgia’s defense has only given up one touchdown all season, and that one was in garbage time. Georgia shut out UAB’s offense which has averaged 35 points in their other two games. There is absolutely no way that Vandy’s innocuous offense will find the end zone on Saturday. It’s likely they won’t get many first downs at all. They won’t be able to run the ball and their quarterback won’t have a clean pocket all day.
UAB’s defense is actually pretty good, giving up 6 total points in the two other games they played this season. Ahem…the Bulldogs scored 56 points against UAB. Vandy gave up 41 to Stanford. All you’re really asking is for Georgia to score 40 points and they’ll cover. In fact, their defense has scored in each of their games. It doesn’t matter who plays QB for Georgia, they will score at least 40 points simply because Vandy will never have the ball. JT Daniels looked really good in his return to the starting lineup last week, and remember he’s a Heisman contender so stat padding will be on the menu.
Given the fact that the UGA defense is very proud, the risk of a backdoor touchdown cover is really remote and Vandy isn’t going to try for field goals once they are down by 4 TD’s. There’s a lot of talk about UGA being mad at Vandy because Vandy flaked on their trip to Athens last year, blaming COVID to avoid a beatdown. That’s probably a lot of high drama, but with or without give me the Bulldogs -34.

Likewise, you've been around awhile too, always much respect to those who have survived on here for all these years. You must be doing something right. The exception rather than the rule.

As a UGA grad, I'm up on recent developments. Van pissed the school off big time by jacking them around and cancelling two games( using covid as excuse). The last resulted in Senior Day at UGA being cancelled! So, can of whoop azz should b served. I teased em down to 28 w Ala. Didn't feel comfortable w that large nos and seeing 84% on UGA. Pickens practiced this week. GL to all...

Aware of the cancellation last season. Don't know if that really matters, certainly can't help Vandy. Bettors in general don't like laying 35 points in a conference game OTR, don't see it much especially in the SEC. I doubt it's a highly bet game, and there are those who may have reservations about the Dawgs offense. Fine with me, they cannot make this line high enough IMO. GL

I read stuff this week using the word how folks were furious. That's a pretty strong adjective, emotion. Perhaps this issue might perhaps keep KS from taking his foot off the pedal....as he is apt to do. As you and I both know the impact of emotion...

Never, probably the worst football capper on here, especially bad in the NFL. I like losing money and giving bad advice. You should go back and read all my write-ups over the years, about 18 on Covers, you know how to do that right, I think I won once out of last 20 write-ups and that was a forfeit! Can you help me? You seem very sharp to me. Lotta people know me and they'll tell you how bad I am! Fade that bum they'll tell you! Help me buddy, I'm drowning!

Looking at a couple other potential blowouts tomorrow but will wait until the morning to see what's going on with the lines-
OKLAHOMA -17, they've dominated WVU in recent years and should play to form @ home after a tuff game with Nebraska. The younger fans/bettors may not be aware of the rivalry that once existed between OKL and NEB. OKL makes a statement against a good opponent
UTAH -15, back home after 2 tuff road losses to good teams, SDST and BYU, Charlie Brewer gone, so what, Cameron Rising and the Utah defense should steamroll a bad Wash St. team
MICHIGAN, -20, Harbaugh under alot of scrutiny, is this the team we thought they could be, finally? Lot of coaching changes and strategies for the top rushing team in the country. That's big points vs an also undefeated Rutgers team. Does somebody know something?
I really look hard at line movement for college, even more than the NFL. The public really shows their intelligence in these college matchups, I stay away from them, far away
And Sportschat, the dude is brand new here. He was probably not even born when I made my first bet. All good

I lean towards under here. GA defense is ridiculous obviously, and then I see a run heavy offensive game plane from the Dawgs. I'm going to post this as my first official play on Covers. This seems a strong play imo.
