GucciCapper has been waiting patiently for the start of football season. The TIME has finally come and GucciCapper is ready to start the season off with a "W"....Let's Get Get Get it Boys....
GucciCapper hopes that everyone has had a good 2021 so far. For those who don't know, GucciCapper was blessed to have GucciCapper JR come into this world in early January. Since then, GucciCapper took most of the year off from gambling and has been focused on raising GucciCapper's son and daughter. Now that football season is here, GucciCapper is ready to help his covers brothers make some additional cash. While GucciCapper is never a big fan of laying a lot of points, GucciCapper can't pass up this point spread. GucciCapper is very confident in laying the -27.5 points with Fresno State against a UConn team that has not played for over 600 days. Here's why!
1) Fresno State's Offense is Stacked - Senior QB/Senior RB/Stacked WRs. That's all that GucciCapper needs to say when talking about the Bulldogs offense. Jake Haener is a stud as Quarterback and he should be able to slang the ball all around to his great group of receivers. On top of that, the Bulldogs have a stud senior running back in Ronnie Rivers who should gash this UConn defense. Guys, as long as Fresno State doesn't make any boneheaded turnovers, they should score on this UConn defense each time they have the ball.
2) UConn traveling furthest West Ever - UConn has never been a good road team. Hell, they are terrible even when they are home. They haven't played for over 600 days and is going out to California for the first time in school history. Factor in the hot weather and this is a recipe for disaster. GucciCapper expects this team to look sluggish and slow right off the start.
3) It's UConn. Boys, this is one of the worse teams in college football. Don't think the 600 days is going to change anything. Fresno State is a dark horse to win the Mountain West this year and GucciCapper thinks they have all the weapons to do it. Don't overthink this one. 27.5 points seems like a lot but Fresno State can score with the best of them. GucciCapper is expecting Fresno State to drop 55+ today.
So there you have it. Lay the -27.5 points and expect a blowout. GucciCapper wishes everyone a profitable college football season. Take care boys and have a beer with GucciCapper after the game!

I agree on the side but a word to the wise (aka GucciCapper):
Betting the game line may cost you as the Steelers and Saints cost their backers in preseason.
Sat. Aug 21 Steelers -7 / Lions
The Steelers were up 23-0 mid 3Q and I was very happy. Final score 26-20. The Lions scored 2 TD's in last 3 minutes to burn my ticket. I was not happy.
Mon. Aug 23 Saints -4 / Jags
The Saints were up 23-3 end of 3Q and I was very happy. Final score 23-21. I was still very happy because I had bet this game 1st half.
The problem with the Fresno game is that they will be playing at Oregon next week and I do not think coach will want to risk injury to any of his big guns in a blow-out 2nd half vs UConn. I will be betting Fresno in this game but either 1st Q or 1st H.

He did. If he leaves the NFL preseason games out of the post there's some validity to what he's saying. However, if Gucci is correct, UCONN would likely struggle vs Fresno's 2nd team and with a substantial lead, it shouldn't matter.
Whether Gucci is right or wrong, he's generally pretty entertaining. Gucci, good luck to you this season!

Thought the same thing with Fresno visiting Oregon next week. I know UConn would struggle against flag football teams, but 4 TDs is a lot with what the Bulldogs have up next.

It's UConn. Boys, this is one of the worse teams in college football.
Personally, that spot for me is reserved for the Massachusetts Minute Men or the Kansas Jayhawks. Usually nothing but blowouts.. I'd love to join ya brother but I missed that key number of 27.5...
BOL to your pick and season Gucc..
"Schrödinger's bet." A bet that loses when you bet it but wins when you DON'T bet it...

UCONN was very very bad---a 2 year lay off could help? Fresno States defense (lack of) is why I'm taking the 27.5 small...back door cover a possibility

Yes, I can. The principle is the same.
If Fresno is up 35-0 in Q4, a distinct possibility, the score becomes meaningless to Deboer. He has the game in hand, he wants to keep his big dogs healthy for Oregon, and he doesn't want to show any more of his offense to future MW opponents. So he pulls his starters and plays a vanilla D.
On the other side, Edsall doesn't want to make that long plane ride back home not having scored a point. UConn will play as hard as they can for 60 minutes.
Think back to the 2013 championship game between Alabama and Notre Dame. 'Bama totally dominated ND 1st half, 28-0. Up 35-0 in Q3 Saban is already planning for the next season. He calls off the dogs and The Irish outscore The Tide 14-7 the rest of the way.
With a 28 point spread the backdoor cover is always a concern.
