GucciCapper has TWO GAMES up GucciCapper's sleeve for college football today. One is definitely UNDER the radar while the other one is a Top 25 matchup!!! Lets GET GET GET IT!!!!!!!

GucciCapper had quite a rough week after GucciCapper hit the Charlotte 49ers last week in college football.  GucciCapper hopes to get things turned around in college football and then continue momentum into Sunday with a NFL slate.  For anyone that is into crypto, GucciCapper got his 400 UNI coins airdropped and hopes that this free money will provide GucciCapper a springboard into college football today.  

Usually, GucciCapper only focuses on one game but today, GucciCapper has two games up his sleeve.  The first game was brought to GucciCapper's attention by a sharp capper that GucciCapper has known for quite a bit.  Thanks Neil!  After digging deeper, GucciCapper is absolutely in love with this play.  The second game on slate is a marquee game that most people will have on their television set.  Enjoy boys, GucciCapper is very confident this will go 2-0 today.

Game #1 - Liberty +14.5 at Western Kentucky

For those that don't know Liberty, get used to hearing their name.  Hugh Freeze, former Ole Miss head coach, took this program and won a bowl game with them in his first year.  What did he get for a reward?  A 5 year extension that pays roughly 2 million a year.  WHAT???? 2 million a year at Liberty?  Yes, you read that correct.  Liberty loaded up 150 million and put it into their football program.  This school has the facilities of a Power 5 team.  On top of that, they got Malik Willis (Auburn transfer) as their Quarterback.  Malik Willis is a dual threat QB that has some wheels on him.  He played a bit in Auburn's blowout win over Purdue (2018 bowl game) where he rushed 3 times for 52 yards.  Hugh Freeze loves the spread offense and Malik Willis is a perfect fit.  Digging deeper, Liberty's recruiting class in 2019 was filled with ONE 3 star recruit.  Fast forward to 2020 and Liberty has FIFTEEN 3 star recruits.  Guys, this team won a bowl game last year and GucciCapper expects them to be MUCH BETTER this year.  For those who don't know, Liberty's AD is Ian McCaw.  McCaw was the former Baylor AD.  These guys want to bring a winning tradition to Liberty.  On top of that, Liberty's defensive coordinator is the former Memphis linebacker coach.  Their defense is led by Javon Scruggs who is one of the best safeties in college football.  Expect these boys to be fired up today against a team in Western Kentucky that had a lot of problems moving the ball against a Louisville defense that isn't that great. 

Looking deeper into Western Kentucky's game against last week against Louisville it was quite evident that Tyrrell Pigrome is the only person you need to worry about offensively for Western Kentucky.  This dual threat QB was inaccurate last week and only completed passes to 3 wide receivers.  The running backs for Western Kentucky did nothing against Louisville.  As long as they can stop Pigrome, GucciCapper is quite confident that not only will Liberty cover the 14.5 points, but outright win.  GucciCapper is going to sprinkle a bit on the +450 moneyline as GucciCapper thinks there is a great shot that Liberty pulls the outright upset.  The 14.5 points is very safe in GucciCapper's opinion and makes this GucciCapper's favorite game of the day.  Again, GucciCapper wants to thank Neil for bringing this game to GucciCapper's attention.

Game #2 - Louisville -2.5 against Miami

This will be a much shorter write up, but GucciCapper loves this spot.  Louisville is on a MISSION this year and GucciCapper thinks today will be their coming out party on National Television.  GucciCapper loves what Scott Satterfield has done with this program since taking over last year.  Last year, Miami destroyed Louisville but GucciCapper is quite confident that Louisville will return the favor today.  Forget the D'Eriq King hype.  The better quarterback is Malik Cunningham.  GucciCapper expects Louisville's offense to tear up this Miami secondary.  Miami has lost a ton of guys and GucciCapper thinks that Diaz is a terrible coach.  Once Miami gets down 14, GucciCapper expects the 'Canes to flat out quit.  This game could get ugly real quick, and GucciCapper hopes that everyone jumps on Louisville -2.5.  Don't worry about laying the points, Louisville should easily win this game by double digits.

So there you have it boys.  Take Liberty, collect your winnings, have a beer, then put those winnings on Louisville and come back and thank GucciCapper after you win both games.  GucciCapper is very confident that both these games will work today.

While I agree with the picks I can't help but think they are very influenced by watching one game - the Louisville vs WKU game.

I don't like Pigrome or Diaz at all though and I think in college teams perform more similar week to week than in pro. Outside of obvious look ahead or letdown spots the teams tend to either trend up or down.

How could you not bet on a team that is led by Coach Hugh “Make the call” Freeze and their former President Jerry “Cuckhold Me” Falwell, Jr. Oh yeah, Liberty had their kids on campus all last spring because they think COVID-19 is a hoax. Liberty coach Hugh Freeze praised the school's strong numbers, saying the team had not had a positive COVID-19 test in three weeks, but he added that the school hadn't actually performed a single test in the past two weeks because no players showed symptoms of the virus. So it’s likely we’ll see Liberty’s starting lineup with no COVID holdouts. Despite the 3 ring circus surrounding the university, Liberty football doesn’t just pray to play well. They have a feisty squad and play the double digit underdog role well, since they can score points.

The public loves to blow the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, but their offense is fraudulent. They only scored 21 points last week against a Louisville team that offered 33 points per game last year. Last week WKU was outgained by Louisville 487 yards to 248 yards. Two of WKU’s touchdowns were on a 1 yard drive and a 4 yard drive and their last touchdown was late in the game garbage. On the other side of the ball, the WKU defense had trouble keeping the Louisville QB from running for first downs and they may face a similar athlete this week in Liberty’s QB (Auburn transfer Malik Willis, one of 3 QB’s who may see playing time).

Liberty won 8 games last year and in their last 11 games they were only beaten by 13 points one time. Liberty did lose some key offensive players, but they have enough talent under Hugh Freeze’s Escort offense and up tempo passing attack to cause trouble to the Hilltopper defense. Four of the top five receivers are back, including TE Johnny Huntley, as are 3 of their offensive linemen. Their returning senior RB Joshua Mack is likely to go for 1000 yards this season. Now familiar with Coach Freeze’s system, they will be better offensively in 2020 than they were last year when they averaged 33.8 points per game. No doubt Jerry Falwell, Jr will like to watch!

I think that Liberty won’t have any trouble getting 3 touchdowns and likely 24 points on Saturday. So the key will be keeping WKU from scoring 37 points in order to cover. Even though the Hilltoppers were down big for most of the game last week, they still ran the ball 60% of the plays (for only 3.4 yards per carry), which means they don’t have a ton of confidence in their QB who had a QB rating of 44 last week and only hit on 10 of 23 passes. I do think that WKU will have success running the ball against the Flames, since Liberty is undersized up front on defense. However, when you’re the double digit underdog, having your opponent run the ball isn’t a bad thing.

“You can’t kick off early enough for me. I don’t like sitting around the hotel all day,” Freeze said. We know what happened last time he sat around in his hotel room with his Ole Miss cellphone. I already “made the call” to my bookie and have locked in the doggy Flames +13.

Also one more thing gucci if you was to pick your strongest bet between your two picks, what would it be liberty +14.5 or Louisville -2.5
