Yes, search "1996 USC vs ASU Courtney Jackson 86yd Fumble Recovery".48-35 ASU in OT. Very suspect call by the refs to call that last pass a fumble, was clearly a forward pass.

I remember that game, Chestbrah. The defensive score covered the spread, didn't it?

Clemson also beat Duke by 9 in OT in 1997. Clemson kicked a FG on its possession, and then Rahim Abdullah picked one off and took it back for 6. But I believe Clemson still didn't cover the number.

It&#x27;s definitely possible and it happened.  I had the improbable winner.Seemed like a hundred years ago.ASU-7&#x27; vs somebody.ASU scores in ot.  Up 7Somebody has first and goal at the 1.Somebody fumbled, ASU ran it back 99 yards.ASU won by 13.

What about the rule against allowing a game to end on a penalty - which it cannot by rule. So if there is offensive pass interference, for example, on an interception in overtime, where the intercepting team has already scored, are they not allowed to run one more play after the offensive pass interference penalty called against the opposing (losing) team where they, nevertheless, intercepted the ball, thereby allowing them opportunity to score again on the last play following the penalty? I believe the rule against allowing the game to end on a penalty trumps the rule calling for the game to end on change of possession in overtime.

The rule had not been changed last time I checked, a year or two ago.And here&#x27;s something that the rulebook says, but the game officials always ignore.  If team A gets the ball first, and team B&#x27;s defense scores, team B&#x27;s offense is still supposed to get the ball, which would give team A&#x27;s defense a chance to score.

Actually, I take back the last part.  There is contradictory languuage in the rules on that point.

You can lose by 14 in OT unless its changed. Team A scores first in 3 OT and makes the 2, up 8. Team A makes a pix 6 and wins by 14.

I lost a 12 point underdog bet one time like this. Now has it changed???
