Help Please --- BCS Title Score Predictions

Need your help Covers football predictors. 


I'm tied for first in my bowl pool and could win $300 tomorrow but it's between me and a girl. .  We both picked LSU.


So the tiebreaker is how many points does LSU score?

2nd tie-breaker (if needed) is how many points Alabama scores.


So could you guy shoot me your scores or help me predict a confident range for LSU.  

Any help is appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Going to be higher than the first game I will tell you that. Indoors this time. There were many missed field goals and a td called back last game. I see team totals being 21-24 for LSU and 16- 20 Bama

That's quite a bold prediction considering their was 15 points scored in the first game, you're really going out on a limb saying there's gonna be more points.

I didn't get to watch this LSU/Bama game the first time (I was at the Oklahoma State vs Kansas State game) and I'm watching it now and seeing lots of points left on the board.

I've got the offensive/defensive lines marked down as just about even, with a slight nod to Bama's d-line.  But these QB's are not very good, lots of over-thrown passes and poor decision making. 

You'd think in the month off these QBs would improve, right? 

Jefferson looks like more points than Lee.

I see the consensus seems to be LSU 17-24.  Wonder if I should pick in the middle of that slightly favoring the high number. Hm.

Both defenses still hold a pretty significat advantage over the offenses.  I think there is almost no shot that LSU's offense will score more than 10 points in this game.  If LSU gets past 10 points it'll be because of non-offensive scores.

Alabama's offense won't fare a whole lot better, but they definitely have the better more balanced offensive attack.  Look for Alabama to score in the 13-20 point range, and LSU to score in the 3-10 point range.  Even though I don't think LSU will score a touchdown in this game, I'll give them credit for one anyhow.

I'll call it 16-10 Alabama.

I'm starting to agree with you.  Bama D-Line looks to have a good advantage on LSU's O-line, the more I watch this 2nd half.

I would unload in this game on bama but the special teams is just such a monster advantage for lsu. They will likely have much shorter fields to work with in this game .

LSU most definitely holds the advantage in the kicking game, but look for Alabama to even it out quite a bit in this game.  I can only speculate about some things we may see because I don't know for certain, but I can tell you that Alabama has spent a lot of time in practice working on special teams.  As I said, expect a much better performance out of Alabama's special teams this go around.

Alabama has not given up many points at all this year if you throw out Georgia Southern. 

I bet if you went with Bama D averages, you'd give LSU about 10-17.

I took LSU's scores from 2011,2010,2009 vs. Bama

Then added in Covers predictions thus far and averaged it out and came out with LSU scoring 19 points.

That's a lot different than the 19 I came out with.


But in regards to MY bet...against a GIRL who doesn't know football.   I'd guess she goes high (17-24 or more).

Maybe I'd do good with a number like 16?

I just have to beat a girl with little football knowledge bros.  I appreciate the help.

What kind of conslusion are you trying to reach?  Probably the safest bet is under the 40.5 point total.

If you give LSU credit for the 9 points they scored in the first game, they still won't hit 20 points.
