    Why I don't like Florida.

    1)  Offense had played at best average

    2) D has pretty much carried this team

    3) If it weren't for that fake punt which led to a TD, Tenn. covers that game

    4) Bama on deck

Why I like Kent. plus the points

    1) Florida great D but Kentucky O pretty good.  Has anyone seen Cobb running the wildcat.  Very tough to stop

    2) Locke is a very good RB

    3) Sr. QB Hartline playing best his played in his entire career

    4) D for Kent. young but very athletic

Take Kent. plus the points.  If Florida covers, it will be for some fluke ie..fake punt or INT. run back for TD, otherwise, points look very good here!

Not a top play of mine but if I had to bet on it, I'd take Kent. +14

Florida will cover.  Kentucky is a good team, but they're not a great team.  They've been making a living so far off of beating up on weaker opponents, and people have been cashing in on it.   But this is a different kind of test for them, regardless of how down UF may be from the last couple of years.  They'll get smacked around pretty good by the Gators.  Whatever line I'm getting on my card, I'll tease that baby down 3 points and be in good shape.

I dont have a pick on the game as of yet...I will probably play nothing being a gators fan I try to stay away from their games.Your post though, is hilarious. You are actually talking about UK recruiting when they are playing the team with a top 2 recruiting class 5 years in a row. If you have an angle thats fine but at least make sense with it!

First of all, both your reasons were for why Florida won't cover. 2nd of all you said UF beating Kentucky by more than they average winning by in the 1st quarter alone of recent history would be a "fluke" type thing.

Also the wildcat type offense does not ever fly against these types of defenses, at all. Kentucky plays no defense, and the qb will get scared shitless all night back there in the pocket from seeing more blitzes than he can imagine. Kentucky is no better defensively than Tenn is by any stretch of the imagination and haven't been in a long time.

Not a top play of mine but if I had to bet on it, I'd take Kent. +14

I love it when people say "if it were not for this". I mean you could say that about 15 plays for every game...it means nothing. If it were not for flo secondary jumping routes sat that game would have been ugly.Of course the fake punt changed momentum thats why urban is one of the biggest head coaches in cfb.The gators are missing mullen and adazio is over his head.Floridas offense has not played well yet but they still have tons of talent.people seem to forgot how young they are.you can see from game to game their offense is starting to get a clue and it will not be long before you will want no part of this team.I do agree that they might be looking for Bama next week.Again though, I believe thats where Meyer comes up big preaching UK is undefeated.Im not saying take Flo, but I sure in the hell would not take UK.Im not saying this being a homer. I am hitting almost 75% in cfb and I like money more than the gators as you can tell by me picking Tenn this past week.I saw alot of positives in the offense...big time improvements.I said at the beginning of the year they would lose to Bama in Tusca...but would revenge them in the SEC championship.

I don't think the line is about Florida's woeful offense or Kentucky being 3-0 w/ some solid QB play. This is your classic sandwich game.

FYI Florida's team averages almost 35 points, their offense probably averages closer to 28 points. Their defense is great and has been bailing out the offense way too often.

This is the only guy who was validity to picking UK to cover.Gators have Bama coming up but more importantly they are coming off of a huge emotional road win. They are due for a letdown. The only reasons I dont think it will happen is because they still are not playing their best.If they had blown teams out then yes I would be all over that band wagon.Good points though bro...
For the other guy who was talking about cobb running the wildcat...yea thats a great point considering FLO has the fastest defense in country....that kind of crap is not working against that kind of speed

lot of love for florida from obvious fans. that being said i think the only way UF doesnt cover is if they bench their starters in the 2nd half to prepare for Bama.

I dont love anything besides my family more than money and that includes gatorsfootball.I dont think Urban will pull starters because they need to get as much practice as possible since they have struggled

And as a diehard Gators fan, I won't be betting against Florida because that would make me sick to me stomach. However, watching every game, and studying this team's every move, you get to know situations where your team is in a bad spot (unless your bias and can't get past that).

    Here is who I blame for the poor offensive play;

    A) Offensive-coordinator, Steve Addazio, his play calling ad schemes are extremely weak. How can you not draw up plays for their athletes to get the ball in open space and do their thing? Harvin was lucky to leave when he did.

    B) WR's - Why can't these guys get open? Brantley has had to fit the ball into some tight spots. How many deep balls is Deonte Thompson going to drop? Against Tennessee I saw a WR drop an easy pass, and two WR's collided on a 3rd down play. Who is teaching these guys how to run routes? Carl Moore is the only WR that looks reliable and saved Brantley on a few occasions against Tennessee.

    C) Health of the offensive line - They have been really banged up here and have not had time to gel and get some chemistry going. The coaches claim that this group could be the best o-line in recent history for Florida. Really?

I know Brantley has been sluggish to get this team in and out of huddles and to audible but I think this kid is the real deal. He throws a great looking ball with some nice zip. He makes quality throws and puts the ball into a nice spot for his receiver, occasionally has some errant throws, but who doesn't? Bottom line is I think this guy could be the one who breaks the Florida QB bust/curse (or whatever you want to call it) in the NFL.

This team is just going to have to scratch and claw for first downs on offense, and I have accepted that. Florida has had success in the past with a team that had a stout defense and a lackluster offense, just check out their 2006 team that won the National Championship. Do I think Florida is a National Title contender? No but I think this team is better then others give it credit for. Just because it's not "cool" or "sexy" to win games with your defense doesn't mean a defensive minded team is not a top quality team.

Do you know how hard it is to get open when the defense knows the only time you are throwing is on 3rd and 10? and since that is the only time Addazio will throw, its damn near impossible to convert that way.

Bottom line is this Florida team is nowhere close to being as good as the teams over the past few years!  They lost a ton of talent to the NFL.  Yes, great recruits but a young team.  D has carried this team so far.  They won their first 3 games by 22, 24 and 14.  Those games were a lot closer than the final scores indicate.  This WILL NOT be one of my top plays but if I were to bet, I would take the points.  Kentucky has at best a Mediocore defense but a good offense.  Florida is still struggling to score points but I will admit they have improved.  If Florida once again gets turnovers, they will cover.  Kentucky right now is playing good football, even though against cupcakes.  Their QB is a senior and playing his best FB of his career.  Just my opinion.  Hey, if I thought Florida was so much better than Kentucky, then I would take Florida minus the points but to date they have not showed me enough to believe in them.

Miss State was +8-   Not double digits...
Vandy and Tennessee were double digit dogs this past week and they went 2-0 or 1-0-1 depending on what line you got

This is a trap game for the Gators... Don't get me wrong Florida fans because I'm not saying Florida sucks or anything like that... but the Gators are coming off a big rivalry game win  on the road and have a huge road game at Alabama on deck... Whether who Florida plays in the SEC East, Florida is their Super Bowl... Kentucky has some big playmakers on offense and I think they will score some points in this game... From a betting stand point the smart bet is to take Kentucky

    Here is who I blame for the poor offensive play;

Just because it's not "cool" or "sexy" to win games with your defense doesn't mean a defensive minded team is not a top quality team.

you could not be more right about everything bro.it amazes me when everyone is blaming Brantley for our woes.He is a stud with a strong arm and very accurate.heres how I see it.

1.how about blaming mr addazio a little...not just for bad play calling but also for crap like wide receivers running into each other...thats on the OC.Also, like you correctly pointed out...get the damn ball to our playmakers in the open field not just on a pulling sweep. We have speed to burn so let them make plays for us.

2.The o-line is not all together as of yet. This o-line has the chance of being not just good but great.first they have to gel and then Pouncey needs to learn to hike the damn pigskin.

3.experience and leadership...I agree with you about the wr.they are all blazing fast but as of yet only carl moore has stepped up and a big reason for this is because all these guys are new starters so no one is taking the leadership role.that problem does not stop there it goes with this whole team. The only leadership shown so far is our secondary!(btw...I dont think deonte could catch a cold)

I do not believe we are going to win the NC but I do think we have the most talent albeit very inexperienced and young talent.I am not going to count us out though considering it was just 4 years ago we won the whole thing despite having chris leak at QB....GO Gators

I would not take the Gators-14 because I am a fan and never bet my team, but this team is due for a big break out performance and I think its coming sooner than later.there is way to much talent to play the way they have!It would not surprise me to see the gators win 28-21 this week and then go to bama and upset them...thats cfb for you!
