How in the world is Bradford more deserving of the Heisman then McCoy???

I see a lot of you in the other thread voting for Bradford over McCoy. I really dont get it. Yes Bradford is a great player, but he has the best team around him by FAR offensively. Best o-line in the game, great running game. Most of his throws are 5 yard passes that turn into 60, or he has guys wide open deep. McCoy is so much more valuable to his team and its not really close. The guy does EVERYTHING with less then half the talent around him. No running game, in fact he leads his team in rushing!! No standout receivers or tight ends, and yet the guy has been great all year. Don't get me wrong Bradford is a good player putting up great numbers, but McCoy has had the better season with what hes had to work with and I really dont think its close.

yeah,  he  really  had  some  tough opponents....

Not real fond of either myself.  I believe it should go to someone other than a QB this year.  Just my opinion though.

Wow thats an awful argument considering the 4 game gauntlet Texas went through.

You ever heard of Jordan Shipley ?

Texas is not top 5 for no reason....To say they dont have the same talent is laughable....They get star recruits just like Oklahoma does...It is more than Mccoy running the team...You dont hear as much about Shipley but he is a bad ass

Oklahoma had pretty much the same schedule and had to play TCU and Cincinatti....Crushed both of them

Jordan Shipley is fine but you cant POSSIBLY tell me the offensive talent is the same. Oklahoma relies so much on their running game with Murray and Brown. Texas doesn't and cant rely on that at all.

You keep forgetting there is offense and defense and Texas by far has the better defense; that is why they won the OU game; OU had like 40 yards rushing and Texas had like 250; that wasnt all Mccoy; Texas has just as much talent as OU; their receivers are better; their oline is about the same; the difference is the defense which give Mccoy more opportunites that Bradford has in every single game; OU is also playing without their best two defensive player in English and Reynolds; plus OU scores so many points in the 1st half they just run the ball in the 2nd half or Bradford would have 60 td's; he's breaking every record in OU's book as a redshirt sphmore; plus Texas plays a completely different offense; they are two different qb's; Bradford is a protypical NFL qb that is why he is projected to go number 1 in the draft; he's thrown for over 4000 yards and 46 td; add up all of Mccoy stats passing and rushing you still dont get those numbers and that is with Bradford either not throwing at all in the 2nd half or just handing it off. Bradford numbers are thru the roof with less chances and constantly having to shut it down after the 2nd half in over half his games. McCoy is a great college qb but Bradford is just on another level. Any scout will tell you that.

Your points on who will be the better pro qb are fair. Bradford will be the better pro quarterback hands down but that is not what this is about. We all know there have been many Heisman winners who did not turn out to be pros, or even play pro at all. To say Texas has better receivers and the o-line is even is just ridiculous. Even taking those two aside, the Oklahoma running game is a HUGE part of the offense and defenses have to key on that when facing them. There is no such threat when playing Texas. Period.

yea but they did not play them back to back to back to back & texas also had a 3 or 4 td lead set thier starters in every game this yr except againt ou, ou st , t.t. even against #7 mizzu at the time they set out half of the 3rd and all of the 4th qrt

Mizz... Does it look tough now??? TX beat them at home, and OU will crush them too in KC
OSU...  TX beat them by 4 at home.. and OU just beat them by 20+ on the road
Tech... the only TRUE road game, and TX lost... OU beat them by 40+
 
The 4 game gauntlet looked imposing at the time... but the after math tell us otherwise.... At one point Georgia was number 1 and LSU was number 3 in the country....
 
But they weren't/ and aren't... So that 4 game gauntlet turns out not to be so tough... and that 4 game gauntlet was not completed successfully as TX lost it's only true road game....

TX's Defense is great and still got lit up by Bradford

1. Colt McCoy, Texas: After watching him run for two touchdowns and pass for two more against Texas A&M last week, I'm convinced there's no player more valuable to his team than McCoy. His performance boosted his statistics -- a team-leading 576 rushing yards, 10 rushing TDs, 3,445 passing yards, 32 touchdown passes against seven interceptions and 4,021 yards of total offense. He doesn't have the collection of receivers or the running game around him that Sam Bradford does. But his place on my ballot is tenuous, because his next two challengers both are playing this week for championships while he watches.

Colt most likely will get hurt by the fact hes not playing this weekend while Tebow and Bradford are. But for those of you who really think the talent on Texas's offense compares with Oklahomas, no way.

i know he probably wont get it, but i wouldnt count him out. If either Colt or Bradford get it, then its definitly all political.

 I agree with Bander , trophy  allways looked  like a running back with a stiff arm out their.  its a shame the media makes it a QB trophy , i think  their is a best qb trophy called  Bert jones or something  , But make no mistake about who i think should win this yr and its Colt Mccoy not only led team in rushing played with the heart of a Tebow.

Bradford played a great game tonight but I still stand by my original statement. Comparing the help he has with the help McCoy has there is zero doubt in my mind who SHOULD win. Sadly Bradford will probably win over McCoy and itll be a shame.

the bottom line is both texas,and oklahoma lost 1 game,and texas beat oklahoma head to head on a neutral site
