It does suck but it’s something we could all see coming, it’s the only way the big 10 can even attempt to get into the CFP CFP =6million spread across the teams, they want that money especially in a year like this. Sadly what it all comes down too, they are going to get squashed in the CFP because they are not in rhythm at all, they haven’t played enough imo

Big Ten and PAC 12 have been looking brainless ever since the virus started. 99.99% of healthy people age 18-23 recover from covid with no problem. The SEC, ACC, and Big 12 realized this. The only reason the Big Ten and Pac 12 participated in any games is due to public pressure to play.
Agree Double - I live in Nebraska - everybody bashed Nebraska back in the Fall when they wanted to pick up Non-Conference games before Big 10 decided to try a season - then Nebraska wanted to pick up a game when 2nd game got canceled and was told 'no' - we said at the time issues were going to come up - that's exactly what has happened. The Commish the Big 10 hired is out of his realm.
So easy to respond to some of this crap, especially a certain Canadian, won't do it.

As a Michigan fan I could easily agree with Double. But I don't. Had Ohio State not played and defeated Indiana then I would scream foul. They beat the Hoosiers and we all know they would of been 6-0 if Michigan played. The Big10 boxed themselves in with over the top 21 day layoff after a positive and not allowing any out of conference makeup scheduling. In hindsight, playing arm chair QB here, the season should have started earlier rather than later. No one has that crystal ball though.
Just more egg on Big10 face from poor planning and lack of flexibility.
This year however, the Big10 IS TRASH!!! Such a large exodus of talent from last year has left most teams nothing more than lower tier MAC fodder. And with that, Ohio State's defense allows an additional 10 more points a game from last year's D. Indiana improved from last year sure, but the drop from everybody else, including the Buckeyes make the Hoosiers look that much better. (7-0 ATS) Ohio State's D will get exposed in the playoffs. And if there are bowls, I wonder what the Big10 win/lose record will be?
I don't what they would do and neither do you. Speculation at best.
Ohio state could have easily had some college come in on the fly this weekend that they paid them for to make it 6 games and lets be real they are the best team in the conference
The whole conference messed this up from the jump not starting when others did and that was a mess waiting to happen 6 games mandatory you telling me some team say Michigan that is horrible this year to screw over Ohio state getting in would not say hey we don’t feel safe we have covid going on here Cancel the game
You said it brother. Clueless Kevin Warren has shown himself in his little time on the job to be an incompetent puppet. Jim Delaney was a leader and a legendary commissioner. Why Warren was ever hired is beyond me.
This is clearly a money move being made by the conference and a shameless one at that. Moving the goalposts as the season goes along. And as a Rutgers fan, trust me I know this is good for the conference members, because each school could sure use some extra money. Still that doesn't mean it doesn't sicken me to see how the Big Ten suits acted, especially toward Nebraska multiple times.
The entire season has been about money and making adjustments. You can't get mad at the Big10 making an attempt to get into the playoffs for their share of 10 million. Any of us would have done it. I certainly would have. I think the Big10 would have done this for any of their teams. Again it's all about the money. I completely understand Michigan dropping out since this is a huge rivalry and they know they have no chance at winning.
One last time.
IF Indy beat OSU, only wound up playing 5 games, and Ohio State played all 6.
Ohio State would not be #4 in the nation, in contention for playoffs. IF Indiana was then #4, then I believe they change it for Indiana to give them a "shot" at a national title.
IF Ohio State was not #4 right now, say #7, Indiana would go to the conf. title game at 6-1, OSU at 5-0 would not.
Is it for $$$ or for the players who deserve a chance? You decide.

You do know that 2 of the 3 TOSU's game were cancelled by their opponent and NOT TOSU right? Its one thing to have TOSU not meet the requirements
because they cancelled the games due to Covid on their own behalf...Nope...Maryland and Michigan called off the games due to covid. For all we know a sissy team like Michigan may have done this on purpose to spite TOSU knowing they needed 6 conference games.... I would have no problem with TOSU missing the B10 ship game if they cancelled and called off games. There is a difference.
