Notice no offensive guys.  THat's why I said their offense would get killed in the NFL, but their defense could at least compete.


If it was the other way around-the defense was as bad as their offense-the blowout would be extreme.  But it isn't.

  The elephant in the room is that these guys might be 1st round picks but that does not mean ANY of them will be starters on a NFL team.. Potential yes but to anoint them as starters is a stretch..

One of the reasons why is they have to learn a new system.  In this case, they don't have to do that.  

You tell me-Hue Jackson vs Nick Saban.  And Nick Saban has coached in the NFL.

But yeah boys vs men is a VERY legit argument for the NFL.

Saban went 15-17 in the NFL and left for Alabama.

Hey may not have done well in the NFL but if you look at his history with Toledo, Mich State, LSU, and Alabama the guy is an absolute legendary coach.  There's no way around that.

 

Guy is 66 and starting to look a little weathered.

Got it.  He sucked as an NFL coach.  15-17 that is just horrible, especially when compared to Hue Jackson's 1-31, which MOST DEFINITELY does NOT suck.

The gap between the worst pro team and best college team is just not as much as people think.  A lot of these Alabama players don't play in the pros simply because of their size, or beccause their speed isn't enough to get past pro players.

MOst of the Alabama players will have a shot at the NFL and some of them will make it.  So who's fooling who.  We're playing the CLEVELAND BROWNS not some good NFL team.

Horrible analogy....Yes the red army was a good team but they were good because they were the select of what Russia had and played together all the time but even then when they were allowed to leave Russia only a handful of them actually made it in the NHL, once out of their system their were only a handful that had the talent to play with NHLers consistently. Just a few years before that game the czechs knocked them out in the Canada Cup and Canada destroyed them, the czechs had no players that could have played in the NHL and the Canadian team was thrown together literally in two weeks. So they were far from as superior as folklore makes them out to be. Also aside from that one game where the Russians were dealing with the flu by the way so they said, they beat the US team by double digits most times they played just a week before that game they beat them 10-3 and it could have been worse but they let up. There are many theories behind that game, one being one that people hate to hear which is that the Russian mob synced in Russia and the US got to many of the players and got them to throw the game and made millions off of it, this was proven at other times they plaed, but who knows. We will chalk it up as an anomaly however and say it was clean and they were just under the weather and outhustled. The difference in football however though in physicality makes it all completely different, there would be major injuries suffered by many of those kids and again the Bama QB would have zero chance, he would be picked and strip sacked the entire game.
