OK, UM won.. but does anyone think that if Crist didn't get hurt and played the entire game, ND doesn't win by 7-10pts?

Michigan had the coaching advantage, like I said.  This would of been a totally different ball game if Kelly would of kicked the FG before the half.  But like I said, that was one of the advantages the Wolverines had.  Another one which turned out in their favor was turnovers.

The correct answer to my question would have been...Notre Dame doesn't have a back up QB

Maybe they didn't think Crist was coming back so they decided they needed to try to punch it in to give them any kind of chance.

I can't believe they didn't kick.  I was watching with 4 of my buddies, 2 ND fans, 2 Michigan fans, and myself, who was rooting for ND, and we all were in utter disbelief that they didn't kick.  I lost respect for Kelly as a coach over that decision alone.  That was very Weis-like !!

now u cntradict yourself,notre dame has no back up qb but yet go for it with their shitty backup qb,So yes coaching edge Michigan   im sorry dude u knowyour back up qb stinks u have to kick that Field Goal its pretty simple   Notre Dame kicks that FG AT END f first half,u kick Fg at end of game  u win ,Kelly lost that game

ND outscored UM 24-7 when Crist was in the game.. let's be honest.. ND wins 34-28 or near there if Crist stays in the game

I'm sick of this talk. Michigan knocked him out, it's part of the game. Woulda, shoulda,coulda..what happens in D Rob gets knocked out of the game? Everyone would be saying the same thing about Michigan. Fact is, he didn't get knocked and Michigan's D, while allowing a shitload of yards and two bonehead plays by the safety, did enough to win. If Crist wanted to play, he shouldn't have got hurt...sounds dumb huh?

UMs D knocked Crist out of the game or Crist hit his head on his own OL on the QB dive..
