big 12 offenses in the bowls are scoring 8.7 pts less than thier season average, and in the lone big 12 v. Sec tilt tech scored 10 below thier season average, texas has been the biggest anomoly ytd going 20 below thier season average.
ou ave. 54pts per game and anyone who claims those are run up scores did not watch everyplay from scrimage this year 1to2 times as i have. they cudve gone for 80+ in 3 games they took thier foot off the accelerator.
so if they pull a texas they go for 34 and flor must score 39 for a cover = 73
if they perf. conf v. conf. equivalent they go for 44 and flor 49 easy cover., conf. ave spike those numbers by 2 pts.
heres the simple fact. OU is more talented than Florida this year. That is an anomoly in my opinion as i believe florida is consistently more nfl loaded than any team in college football short of usc, but this year OU is a perfect storm of future pros and thier team leaders on ea. side of the ball are also thier 2 most talented kids: sam bradford and gerald mccoy.
i wager on bowls using 2 criteria, 1. most importantly intangibles, 2. matchups. coming into this final 2 days i gave nearly every intangible to florida ie. urban meyer is the more imaginative coach, at home state, chip on shoulder from tebow and sec questioned supremacy for first time in years. THEN couple that with ou's obvious poor bowl preparation plan and the girth of players listening to agents instead of position coaches i really felt the WAY better team was destined to lose here bc of thes factors.
i know have called that premise into question as i have seen the joe public and american sports media almost unilaterally support florida. The public is occassionally right the sports writer consensus NEVER is.
i believe a full proof wagering plan is to play Florida and the OVER as i do not believe a scenario cud unfold where florida wins and the game does not go over, also believe it highly unlikely ou wins a game played under. BUT i can not bet against the more talented team with this overwhelming public backlash. so i will be playing the OVER alone here.
as usual this is written by an ou fan, do your due diligence and be mindful i am problably a 53% tout, BUT any WAGER ON THE UNDER is done out of pure ignorence of the unquestionable fact that OU will Score 34 pts minimum
