Miss tackles and Bad penalties all night and yet you have people calling out GUS. LOL. They accumulated over 500 yards of offense against a pretty good defense and are this close to pulling it out. Yet blame Gus. Haha. Some of you guys are a trip.

At the end of the day Auburn got really lucky at the end of the game. Only chance to win was what happened. Treadwell has to basically break his ankle just short of the endzone and drop (not fumble as it was not forced) which was recovered by an Auburn guy who was right there. So before you Auburn guys beat your chest remember very luck break for you and very unlucky break (both literally and figuratively) for us.

First off, I felt bad about the way it ended... unjust ending for Treadwell, who was a beast!
But let's not get carried away with that last statement: if Treadwell scores the TD, Auburn has 1:30 and 3 Timeouts, and only needs a FG to send it into OT, where they have a very big advantage (even WITH Treadwell on the field)!
Auburn had destroyed that defense on the last 3 drives, and they were physically beat up... there is very little doubt Auburn would have gone down and at least gotten into FG range... possibly scored the TD for an outright win!
Previous three Auburn drives:
9 plays for 75 yards in 4:03 - TD
11 plays for 96 yards in 3:46 - TD
7 plays for 73 yards in 2:06 - TD
And that was without using any timeouts... so let's not act like the game would have been over if Treadwell scores the TD... Ol Miss still had a huge challenge ahead trying to stop Auburn's offense!
Tough ending to a great game, and probably not just... also agree Gus made a terrible playcall on 3rd and 1 to give Ol Miss back the ball... but, if Auburn has 1:30 and 3 timeouts, that is more than enough time to get into FG range, with a very good kicker...

That is a lot of what ifs and wishful thinking. Also anyone who bets on or against Gus knows his challenges as a play caller. That is one of the many reasons this bet was larger than normal.
