2 Programs heading in different directions. Indiana Coach Curt Cignetti is a winner and he has flipped this roster and filled it with winners. 10 JMU transfers that have championship culture and 13 other transfers that are 2-3 year starters at winning programs that all have productive numbers and some all conference honors. It is a step up in competition but I think they will be ready and highly motivated to play at Rose Bowl Stadium. Chip Kelly left UCLA for a reason. I like this Cignetti guy!
Good Luck!

UCLA is coming off a bye. Indiana is playing on the road for the first time with a new coach and QB and is a favorite. This game looks tricky. It's hard to place a ticket on UCLA. Game is a pass for me.

I see the value on UCLA as a home dog after underperforming. The playing conditions in Hawaii were absolutely brutal with the 1:30 kick off in the blazing heat and humidity.

Perhaps. Don’t know what that has to do with this match up other than you voicing your opinion about the coaching advantage you think IU possesses in an awkward manner.
I still think UCLA covers at home and probably wins the game.

The Rainbow Warriors produced 2 interceptions, six tackles for loss and stuffed half of the Bruins rushing attempts in that game. The playing conditions were tough for the Bruins offense!

Appreciate the feedback. UCLA had a horrible first half against Hawaii but got their feces consolidated in the second half scoring on 4 out of 5 possessions.
School has not started yet at UCLA and the Bruins had 2 weeks to prepare. IU has been in school since August, is on the road and is 1-9 in their last 10 conference games.
The perception that UCLA sucks after the Hawaii game and that IU is now a force with a new coach and his transfers after applying a historic beatdown to Western Illinois adds to the value.
Indiana University has the most losses of any Division I football program (712), and also the third worst winning percentage of any Division I team with over 1000 games played (.419). No coach in the last 60 years has left with a winning record.
That is a culture of losing that won’t be easy to change, even after taking the lunch money of an FCS team that went 0-11 last year.

Good stuff and information. It is great to see both sides.
Coach Cignetti has a proven track record of turning around programs and this will be his toughest challenge for sure. With the transfer process he has done a quick revamp of the roster bringing over talented players who know and fit his system. JMU had a great Defense last year and I expect it to travel well….From JMU to Bloomington to the Rose Bowl. Chip Kelly could not recruit well and keep up with the big time schools so he had enough. At this time I think Indiana has the better roster and confident Coach. We shall see. If the Rainbows can play shut down vs UCLA why can’t JMU / Indiana ?

I'm just stating a fact, Deshaun Foster is not qualified to be a D1 Head Coach and DEI is a real thing my friend With their schedule Bruins will be lucky, very lucky to win 3 games this year

I will continue to ride with Coach Cignetti who is optimistic on Rourke playing this week and we believe the Hoosiers will be in good hands regardless of who starts behind center.
Good Luck
