The Hoosiers have been good to me and I am going to ride this horse until she falls and I don't see the Huskies doing it.
The Hoosier offense can beat you up both ways, QB Kurtis Rourke looks really good. He moves well in the pocket and throws a back shoulder ball like Burrow. The Hoosiers have depth and talent at the skilled positions and Rourke really spreads the wealth nicely. 5 Indiana WR's have caught multiple TD's. The pair of Indiana RB's each have 8 TD's.
Hoosier Head Coach Cignetti came into Bloomington with Lombardi like confidence and now his team is playing with it.
Good Luck

I didn’t realize he was out and looked at the box score as I was on them last week but stopped paying attention to the game. It looks like Wilson did a great job throwing for 2 TDs going 8/7. Might have been scrubs in at that post tho. This Indiana team is good.

how does one go 8/7. anyway its time to start fading the higher ranks although I may give them another week they always start tumbling near the end of the season

@kidd22 The "Big 10 across country travel thing" is not 2-15, but it is pretty significant. I think it's at about 75% ATS. Does anyone have that stat?
ya I wasn’t sure what it was but it did start out bad for road teams basically the ex pac 12 teams traveling and big 10 travel here but if anyone knows ?

Its already factored in the line. The backup is capable, and may be better...My Hoosiers are a machine, and the only thing that will beat them, is superior athletes with superior coaching. Only Ohio State comes to mind. People keep waiting for IU to falter...Eventually, they will, but I don't think it will be this week...

I may be missing your point, but IU doesn't have Oregon on it's schedule. They do have Ohio State and I am pretty sure that is what LHH is referring too
Histrionic personality disorder. It's sad

@LonghornHoosier The Confidence is in the Hoosier fans as well. It will be hard to play better than Rourke but I would love to see it.
Highly doubt he will be better then Rourke ... In fact will go a step further he will not be... Rourke 15 td 3 ints... 74% completion.. Sorry LHH aint happening.. Funny thing Cignetti cut his head coaching teeth at a little div2 college right up the road from me .. Strange as it is at ...Indiana University PA ...IUP.. Turned them around from the get.. Cignetti family tied into IUP and Pitt...Local family...good people.. All in the game as players and coaches.. Brother and dad..

What? Jackson might be better than Rourke, you can't be serious and you say "My Hoosiers"
You learn more from losing than winning. You learn how to keep going.

i stay away from this game. Indiana looking good on paper and just blow out Nebraska too. Why this line is so low when Washington is a bad traveler?

So let's just all be real for a minute. Jackson is not better than Rourke. But, he IS a redshirt sophomore who was recruited by Tennessee and transferred to Indiana before last season and started 5 games for the Hoosiers. He's got some experience and talent.
He also came in and played well last week against Nebraska and led 4 TD drives in that blowout. On the flip side, the average starting field position for those drives was the Husker 43 yard line. So, while he did execute and go 7-8 for 91 yards and TDs -- he also had the benefit of a lead and short fields.
Jackson has talent but has been inconsistent and at times been loose with the ball on his throws. Saturday against Washington is a chance for him to show how far he's come since last year.
Ultimately, the 6.5 point line is based on Jackson playing QB. If Rourke was healthy, the Hoosiers would have been double digit favorites, maybe even 2 TDs.
Indiana's been rolling all season so far. If this game was on the road, I think it would be a prime spot for Washington to get the upset. In Bloomington, I don't see it. I've already taken Indiana -6.5.

Does anyone remember the hit song by R Dean Taylor called “Indiana Wants Me”. It went something like this ==> Indiana wants me…no I can’t go back there…Well, when it comes to betting football, Indiana does want me…and you better believe I’m going back there. After a cakewalk cover against Nebraska last week, there is no way I am getting off the Hoosier train right now. Indiana is moving up the charts…and it’s not a hit song. They are undefeated and ranked number 13 right now. QB Kurtis Rourke is playing an insane level of football right now. But hold your horses…aw shucks. He is out indefinitely with a thumb injury and just this week ESPN announced that Gameday will be broadcasting from Bloomington. It’s really a sad situation because the dude was seriously being considered for the Heisman. Have no fear. Hoosier fans. Backup Tayven Jackson, who started five games for Indiana in 2023, replaced Rourke for the second half last week and threw for 91 yards and two touchdowns on 7-of-8 passing while leading four touchdown drives. He'll be a more than capable game manager. With this skinny spread, they don’t need much offense. What’s more, it’s the Indiana defense that is the reason the Hoosiers are undefeated. They are giving up only 13.7 points per game and 4 of their 7 wins have been against Big 10 teams.
Truth be told, Washington will be the best team that Indiana has faced this year. But the Huskies are going the wrong way in a hurry. After playing in the Natty last year, this team has lost to Rutgers and Wazoo and got blown out by Iowa. They are only 2-3 in their last 5 games and coming across the country again for a noon kickoff in front of a Game Day crowd will not be a friendly welcome for the Huskies. Washington has yet to win a game on the road this year. Their offense has not been able to generate points consistently, averaging only 21 points per game against Big 10 competition. Indiana has covered the spread for six consecutive games since narrowly failing to cover in their season-opener against FIU and the public is just not ready to give them the respect they deserve.
Despite Rourke’s heroics, Indiana is a run heavy team, preferring to run the ball 57% of the time and they are making it pay off, going for 5.3 yards per carry. On the other hand, only three Big Ten teams have allowed more rushing yards per game than the Huskies this year. While Indiana would love to have Rourke under center, Jackson can do what Rourke doesn’t do, namely run the ball…which will give Washington even more fits. Enough said…the better team wins and covers.
