I apologize if I'm being really rude to you and everything. But honestly. Look at what I said about having children.

Do you really want your kid to be rapped? Anybody who has a child should be up in arms about this. Seriously it is almost as bad as murdering someone. These are kids against a grown man. They can't fight for themselves. They need to be protected and JoPa knowing what he did, did not do that. That in itself fires me up.

I AGREE WITH YOU 100%......JoePa in the situation he was in was a god like figure, he was the proverbial tail that wagged the dog, if he had actually wanted to come out and say something NO ONE would have stopped him and his legend and legacy would have trebled if he HAD been fired for outting this situation.....BUT quite to the contrary he hushed it up, maybe not on the same level as the AD, et al.......but as the legend he was and the legacy that he had built he is as much a cohort as the others and tarnishes NAY RUINS what should have been a great career an legacy

You are right- as of now nobody knows exactly what happend- But Joe admitted today he should have done more- this means to me that he knew that Sandusky was a pedophile- I can forgive him for not doing anything from 1998 to 2002. But after the shower incident in 2002 he should have gotten the proper people involved(child protection, police) If people think he wasn't trying to protect his legacy then they are dead wrong. A buddy on mine who graduated high school with worked at Penn St. for several years from 1996-1999. He was an information director i believe. He told me Joe Paterno while seemingly a good guy was also known to get his way and had the attitude that he was above anyone on campus. He got what he wanted and everyone backed down from him. I can see how after 6 decades of this the guy felt he could cover this up to help his friend. Let's not forget that this scumbag Sandusky was his friend and they still associated with each other up till very recently.

I agree with you 100% with not casting judgement.....but ask yourself this.........Do you think he would have acted differently had that boy been hid GRANDSON??......Do you think he would have said that "in hindsight" he would have acted differently?

You also have to realize that the only thing he had to do to hush it up was be quiet about it. The others would do most of the covering up for him. He was the man. He had the power as well as respect. But from what i am told they also feared him as well.

It's amazing how things change when everything hits home. In virtually any aspect of life. Once you are involved all of a sudden you become morally correct. He should have looked at it that way the whole time. I wonder if his grandchildren were allowed to be left alone this guy. I guarantee they weren't!
