About time!!! I wonder why the President wasn't fired as well?
I hear Bookie's brother is Edwin Simmons...Bookie actually has a fondness for Texas criminals.....You remember Edwin don't you.....the transvestite Longhorn running back who was caught running naked from Austin Police on a Saturday afternoon through neighborhood back yards after he did a crack deal on the street corner before being tackled, handcuffed and arrested......seem to remember him losing his scholorship over that one and then the term was coined....."Longhorn Sorriness".....sure is lots of Longhorn Sorriness going on these days.....huh?
Actually this Penn St scandal would have been more likely on the UT campus......

joe paterno did do the correct thing and report it to University authorities. They are the ones who had the obligation to investigate and act appropriately.
if anything , the grad assistant had the true legal responsibility to report the crime. It appears that he was upset and perhaps thought he was doing the right thing. It wasnt Joe Pa'a role to call the police. if the grad assist saw the crime, he had the legal obligation to report. Once the University was notifoed of a probable crime, the University had a moral, and in my opinion a legal obligation to investigate and report heinous criminal activity.
In reply to above........had that been Paterno's grandson, do you mean to tell me that he would have acted the same way ???

Furthermore........Had that kid, God forbid, been your son or grandson would you be satisfied with that LAME excuse of I did what I had to do ??

You are right my friend, NOBODY saw MJ rape a child and he was duly acquitted, But that is NOT the case here.....there WAS an actual and very believable witness to what occurred.

I was thinking the same thing, when I first saw that I actually was thinking that it was to burn him in effigy

Penn State board made the right decision. It's about the brand and what is morally right.
I still can't believe all the people that knew boys were being groped by Sandusky and did nothing about it.

Penn St. students rioting?
Wow.
How dumb are these kids.
And they call Penn St. an "institute of higher learning"?
The place and the people who inhabit that god-forsaken place are filth.
Total filth.

I defend the board and their decision but i also agree with you that McCreary should be fired as well. The other two guys are being charged criminally but should be fired as well. They don't deserve a paycheck, pension, or any benefits.
