ISU is no great team, but they&#x27;re no pushover, either.  The offense could be a little better with the swap at QB.@WVU on deck for the Cats and ISU has a history of playing this one close. This game ain&#x27;t no lock by any stretch...but a 27-17 type of win is what I&#x27;m looking for.

I actually look for posts like this. Love when someone says lock, easy money, free money... I usually go the other way and most times I cash!

I went back the last four years (small sample) and the game after K State plays Kansas, they have lost SU. It is a big in-state rivalry and they seem to leave it all on the field. Sagarin has Kansas State playing a schedule ranked at 115 and Iowa State's schedule is ranked 24th best in the country. At Football Outsider's, K State is ranked at 15th and Iowa State is 22 in their combined ratings. Very close and not worth giving points on the road in conference play.

I already took Iowa State +7.5 (bought .5) and I expect a SU win. Conference game with the home team getting points...you got to love it!!

I don&#x27;t mean to be negative in your thread but, you give no reasoning behind your pick and there is no such thing as free money from Vegas. K State may crush Iowa State but, no way I bet K State here. Bad situational spot for them and I hate giving points on the road in Conference play. It is Iowa State or no play for me.&#xD;&#xA;Good luck on your plays!

[/Quote]That makes sense, but there is a flaw here.  2011 is the only season of the 4 that you could consider KSU on the way "up"...and they got smoked by OU after the KU win....pretty bad teams the other three yrs.  They have a bit more experience now.  If you look at the week after KU games during Snyder&#x27;s first tenure, you&#x27;ll find something different following KU wins.I&#x27;m certainly not ruling out a tight game...but I did bet KSU this week...there is leadership on this team that has been absent for a long time.  It&#x27;s a small play and there are many better plays on the board.

Both these teams have similar game styles and i expect this to be a 3 or 4 point game
