I can assure you I have FAITH but I also have to be realistic. If this game was in Starkville I would tell you that we would win. Playing on the road in college football is extremely difficult.
The main reason I don't think we will win is because I truly believe we won't be able to run the ball. When that happens, we will have to try to throw but we don't have any receivers other than Derunnya Wilson. But, if we can run the ball, we have a good shot. I just don't think it will happen. While every non-Alabama fan jumped off their train after losing to Ole Miss, they have quietly gone about their business and have the 2nd best scoring defense in the country. While our defense is the 16th best scoring defense in the country, our bend but don't break style of defense will bite us in the AZZ at some point. We aren't even in the top 50 of defensive yards given up, but again are 16th in the country at scoring and #1 red zone defense (giving up TD only 58% of the time).
I am going to the game Saturday, and I can assure you I will be cheering like hell that we win the biggest game of our history, but if you ask me are we going to go on the road and beat Alabama, I say no.
But I've got no problem logging in Saturday night and saying I was wrong .
