Rationale
Georgia -13 over Clemson - in Atlanta - Georgia 31 Clemson 10
Best Coach, Best QB, Most talented Team, with advantages at almost every position on the field probably would have won the NC last season, if they made the playoff...against a talented Clemson team, with virtually no transfers, limited NILS old school, on a neutral field, that heavily favors UGA. Close game for a half, then UGA pulls away...The world will know the names TE Ben Yorosek, RB Branson Robinson and RB Nate Frazer by the end of the game...Bet on the best in big games, until proven otherwise...LHH
@Syracuse - 17 over Ohio - Syracuse 38 Ohio 13
Normally, week 1, a team with a new HC, new coordinators, new systems, and a new QB would not get my backing. Cuse is the exception this season...Fran Brown has the coaching pedigree on D to limit a Tr Portal depleted Ohio Team and only 6 returning starters, including only 2 on Offense, replacing QB, top 2 RBs, and top 3 WRS. QB McCord should impress with a revamped WR corps, RB LaQuint Allen will punish well into the 4th quarter. Cuse is hyper motivated and the Carrier Dome, or whatever its called now, will be rocking with some pent up passion to win. TE Oronde Gasden is expected to make some noise for Cuse this season. Beat down...LHH
@South Carolina -20 over Old Dominion - South Carolina 42 Old Dominion 13
Riskiest play of my set...Rattler is gone, but perhaps that is not a bad thing. He carried SC last season, but I think with Duel Threat QB LeNorris Sellers along with Arkansas Tr Raheim ("Rocket") Sanders, an unproven but high potential WR corps, and improved OL play, and an improved and staunch defense, to go along with SC having one of the toughest schedules in the nation, and all of camp to prepare for ODU with Kentucky on deck, this is an absolute must win for Beamer in week 1. The line opened at SC -17 and got bumped to SC -21, which normally is a bullish sign, yet you don't want to get caught in inflation. ODU got hit hard by the tr portal, and are well coached. Along with SC tends to play down to their competition. I still think with a "packed" Willams - Brice Stadium with a bunch of "Hungry" Cock fans in attendance, I believe South Carolina has the "Tools" and the passion, to set the tone, and beat ODU and cover. Sounds like a "Porn Flick", eh? LHH
