Record wise this one looks pretty easy for the undefeated Spartans vs a 3 loss Hoosier team who may even be without Michael Penix though I suspect he'll play. If he doesn't, 3 year vet Jack Tuttle will start, he does have sum experience playing including 2 weeks ago vs Penn St. after Penix got hurt.
What don't I like about MICH. St? Their defense is suspect, soft schedule so far, a bye coming immediately followed by Michigan and later Penn St and Ohio St. Yes, offense has been good, Walker a stud RB and Thorne has played well at QB. But might be a letdown spot for Sparty after an easy road win last week at Rutgers.
Indiana has the 3 toughest losses in the country first half of the season, Penn. St, CINCINNATI, and Iowa, and yes they were thumped in 2 of them. But that competition, and coming off a bye week, can only help Indiana today.
I wish I could give you sum amazing hidden stat as to why this will be a close game, but I can't. Sparty could come out lethargic given the spot, IND off the bye and Mich St is not as good as Iowa, Penn St, and CIN, so the Hoosiers won't be admiring their opponents jerseys. And I don't like the yards Sparty defense has given up and they have yet to play a good team, sorry Husker fans. Maybe Mich St is a bit overrated and that soft schedule with an upcoming bye and Michigan on the other side of it could be their kryptonite today. A possible upsetin Bloomington today, yes, I know, I'm crazy, heard that before-
INDIANA +4
As always good luck to all!

If mich state continues to hit the big play then yes Indiana is probably in deep trouble, but I think they can keep it in front of them. Homecoming in Bloomington. Indy should be able to move it against this D regardless of whos QB. Think this is a good one!

95% of recent posts on covers are Mich St. I've clicked on every post in last 5 pages. Mich St. looks great by everyone. Most bets are 50/50, but as you said, this one is really Mich St heavy. If you have watched both teams all season, Mich St looks significantly better. The thing that holds you back, is knowing that Indiana "should be" a good team.

They don’t really look that great, unless you are amazed by Hail Marys and long runs lol. Maybe I’m old school but I’ll take a team that can drive down the field and punish the opposition that way. Looking at their schedule, I think in the long run they’re closer to the team that couldn’t move the ball in 2H when needed at home against a solid but not great Nebraska defense.
