Penn state will be in the championship game. Also, if you watched Michigan last week, you'd know that Indiana was the play (lots of game left). How they didnt drop out of the top four after losing against an Iowa team who doesn't have a pulse, is beyond me.Because Wash Clemson and Tex a&m all lost not to mention Louisville the other night. Mich has beaten 3 top 10 teams who else has done that? When mich most likely loses to osu they should still be in by default not cuz they earned it (loss to Iowa) but because all the other top ten teams didn't take it from them. They all lost crap games and don't have the power wins like mich does. Psu and wisc out of equation cuz mich beat both of them. Bama Clem (if they win out) wash (if they win out) OSU if they beat mich should b in. And that's still debatable cuz wash didn't beat 3 top 10 teams. But Louisville wisc and psu(even if they win big 10 champ) should b excluded period
Wisconsin beat three top ten teams. LSU, Mich St and Nebraska and their two losses are against two teams in the top 4.
Ummm none of those r top ten teams now. Doesn't matter what they were then that's the NCAA works. U and I aren't on the rules committee lol. Col wasn't a top ten team when mich beat them but they r now and that's what matters. And what matters even more than that is who wins head to head

Mich is better than wisc w same amount of losses assuming mich lose to osu. So no they can not jump mich! Period they lost to them and when nut cuttin time comes that's what matters most! Your off your rocker if u think w the same amount of losses and a loss heads up gets them in. And let's throw in the $$$...when the NCAA picks u really think they would take wisc over the big name of mich??? Especially when mich beat them. Won't happen
I'm not predicting Wisconsin gets in but my response was to your point their not in the discussion. They will have played a quality schedule and have "quality" losses if there is such a thing. Alvarez sits on the committee and although excluded from the direct discussion pertaining to UW he will no doubt be a proponent. We still have some football to play, but the point I was making, which was clearly missed, is that if the conference championship doesn't weigh heavily into the consideration of playoff teams then what is the point of playing it? Think about the NFL from which parallels could be drawn regarding the playoff; if a team sweeps a divisional opponent in the regular season but loses the division should they still make the playoffs?
This isn't the NFL bro! Ur response was crap wisc has no shot period!! Plain and simple not just my opinion but reality. And Alvarez doesn't have an executive order that he can sign to get them in. They lost to mich and osu. Therefore not in discussion. And if u want to talk nfl what is the first tiebreaker??? Oh that's right head to head

Doesn't work that way......LSU & Mich St. aren't even in the top 25 anymore......Nebraska is like 20th.
It actually works exactly that way. Following your thought process you would beat three top ten teams that would remain in the top ten throughout the duration of a season? So the loss the incurred would not have an effect on their ranking? What...? A team is credited with beating a team ranked based on the given week in which they play not based upon seasons end.
Ummm it actually does not work that way!! U need to educate yourself on college ball some. All that matters is rankings at the end. If u beat a top 5 team at beginning of season and they go on to lose all other games they actually bring u down cuz at the end they suck doesn't matter what they were when u beat them. Again I'm not on the rules committee but that's the way it works

My statement was they beat three top ten teams. That is a fact based on the rankings at the time. Clearly the seasons results will dictate what impact those victories have when all is said and done. Hard to have a thoughtful conversation when you have to clarify the most basic things in order to move the discussion forward. It is entertaining that instead of having a conversation based on positions you resort to insults. I could take offense at your "need to educate" comment but based on the way you write it would be in vain.
I'll make this easy so you can understand at your level. The winner of the big ten will be considered for the playoff whoever that may be.
Have a good night fellas and hope everyone made some today.
