Mississippi State vs UAB

Can someone explain to me why everyone is so high on UAB +28 in this game? Mississippi DESTROYED a southern miss team that destroyed UAB in the finally last year.

Because they blew out a bad Troy team?
If you look into that game a little deeper that UAB ran for 300 yards damn near. Does anyone think that there gonna do that against one of the top defenses in the SEC?

I see this game ending similar to the southern miss game unless they get bored.

With ALL of that said, someone explain to me the thought behind UAB +28? Im looking for reasons not to take State. Thoughts?

UAB didn't do too badly themselves last week.

In my opinion, Miss St. is no bargain at this price and UAB
just might be.

I lean miss st. Not sure yet. Miss st not afraid to blow out teams. I think this line get msu a little value.

I don't understand why anyone would think UAB will give Miss St a better game than So Miss did... those teams are carbon copies!

Take MSU.  Don't get too excited about what UAB did to Troy.  MSU beat Troy 62-7 last year.  Troy plays no defense.  MSU really didn't flex too much muscle last week.  UAB doesn't have the depth MSU does.

I spoke with a player today and have heard several players say that he practiced the whole time today.  

I don't see UAB scoring over 7 pts in this game. So do you think State will score at least 35?

At -28, Miss State has to be the play. I don't know how UAB can hang around with them. I played both teams last week for two wins, but gotta go with the big favorite here..

Mississippi St. is going to be money all year.

I think MSU scores 50+... UAB D isn't that good.

I would hold up till we find for certain that PRESCOTT is indeed healthy. Mullen is known for not letting on about injuries even to the point of out right lying about injuries.

Corley take it from me if you were not at practice then you really don't know if he is hurt or not.

This is a good spot for Miss St to get a big win and a cover.  Next up for them is South Alabama.  Historically, Miss St handles weaker teams at home or on the road when they don't have a big conference game up next.  If this matchup were before a conference game or sandwiched between conference games, I would lean UAB.

Well aware of that Carter.  Guy on the team said he practiced yesterday. 

State played their whole roster and really could have beaten USM a lot worse. 

Dan Mullen: "Dak Prescott banged up, but he'll play Saturday." So there's that. 

To all ; I guess there was some value in UAB after all.

Unless they find a pass defense, that's not going to be the case.

It was the constant subbing on both sides of the ball.  Offense couldn't get in a rhythm and D was gassed.  I'm not worried about it.
