Long story short, I'm in a large pool where a group of guys (500+) pay $15/week and we have to attempt to pick 6 games correctly against the spread (no totals). If we pick all 6 games correctly we win the pot roughly $3-4k per week (ties count as losses).
Anyway, this pool has turned out to be betting gold for me this year and I wanted to help out Covers nation as it is a true depiction of what the gambling public's perception is of every given game. In this pool we can pick between both ncaa & nfl games and we use spreads that are available wed. afternoon.
I've looked for the biggest "disparity in numbers" and place my wager on the team getting the fewest selections. This "disparity" is a complete judgement call on my part, but so far my judgement has been ok. If I see a game that has 100 picks and 98 are for one team than I wager on the team that only has 2. However, if I see a game that has 12 wagers and all 12 are on one team I don't consider that a large disparity and don't use it.

The only down side of the pool is that all of the stats on who people picked aren't released until Friday Evening, so all weekday games will have no stats. I'll post all plays on Friday night, it works people, it's essentially fading the "public" but in this case I have a pretty good view of actual plays from the real public. Hope this helps people out on here, like I said it's been a gold. Any Q's let me know.
