Are you just defending your wager here?  Seriously, no disrespect inteded but that statement is something you'd here from a 3rd grade homer   It's absurd!  If Edwin baker plays better, MSU wins handily.  If Dan Persa plays better, NU beats PSU.  If Landry Jones plays better, OU wins.  You can go on and on about this shit, but the bottom line is, they didn't play better.  And usually, the reason they didn't play better has something to do with their opponent .  Like I said in one of the threads here last week, Wilson hadn't faced adversity since he put on a Wisky uniform, well......look what happened when he finally did.  


BTW, you can get your Wisky losses back on Nebraska this week.  Doesn't matter if the world is on the Huskers or not, MSU should be flat as hell on the road Saturday.....


Come on Bense. Really? I think Sparty played a good game but this is really about Russel not playing well. I know you dont like that " cliche ".... but it's the truth. Yeah the team your playing does effect how you play, but I know what your thinking. Your thinking MSU is a great team and truth is they played a good game at home vs another good team and they won... Nothing more really. We can gauge how good Sparty is come bowl season... Lord knows we dont want anymore of the Bama type performances again.

Keep it prospective... It was a good win for your boys. But I think the country knows that Wilson played a bad game.

As a Vol fan, I LOVE the orange pants. I want a pair so I can wear them while teaching classes. Always fun to troll UNC students anyways. #2   OUCH!  2 blocked kicks 1st half. I guess I was to high on Wisc.  Hats off to Mich. St.  Really good game for them.  Curious to see pt. spread aginst @Nebraska next week.

#3   Jumped the G.Tech ship a few weeks ago. Never liked them that much. Left some money on the table not playing them early but saved money lately ignoring them.  I'm guessing the computer says -7 this week and Las Vegas adds a couple for public opinion. Leaning Clemson less than 10 on the road.

#4   Hell yes, N. Mx. is that bad!  Memphis, Akron, E. Mich. No. Tex. are fighting their asses off every week but not that Mexico bunch. Please don't confuse the two, NMSU is one of my favorite teams to play in spots. Hate to say it but on a bad week for me NMSU might of been my best play.

#5   The Heisman is a fraud and doesn't interest me at all.  They should show it on the E Network so Joan and fat Kelly and some gay guy can do a red carpet fashion show.

#7   That Kan.St. is a great story.  One game at a time for them and they do get Okla. @ home. I think Okla. comes with all guns blazing but then again it's all about the spread for us. Don't think I will get Okla close to -10 but that would interest me.

#8   I'm gonna give the sophisticated Tenn.fans some credit for knowing that injuries have an effect. I think every team every where has 10% smart fans, 25% who have some knowledge and can at least talk sports without drooling, and 65% who just have to bitch and complain. Where I live (small incestuous town) it's closer to 99% drooling, scratching, narrow minded, ignorant idiots. Nice people but so stupid.

#10   I think a little good natured, witty bashing is entertaining but when a thread gets totally high jacked by it then it can turn to annoying.  I learned long ago that I'm not a good judge of character but I'm gonna guess that you are prideful, feisty, a fighter, and sure of yourself. That's all fine but you gotta quit taking criticism so personally. You throw it out there in your way and like I said above 65-99% aren't gonna get it. The pedestrian drunks don't matter. If we don't go to a bowl, it means we went 2-3 or worse against South Carolina, MTSU, @Arkansas, Vandy, and @Kentucky. Bad as things have gotten, I still don't see losses to MTSU or Kentucky. Vandy is possible, but I'm never going to go into Vandy expecting a loss (especially not at home). Also, we certainly have a shot to down South Carolina without Lattimore at home this week, although it's possible that we start true freshman Justin Worley at QB.  Early conservative diagnosis is that Bray will come back either against Vandy or Kentucky.

Hey Boom don't worry about, just rub some dirt on it and get back in the game. Next week will be better.
As for the USC game, a couple of minutes before kickoff I had a terrible thought. The Trojans are going nowhere this year, they would like nothing better than to KO Notre Dame tonight. Sorry but I guess I jinxed us I had ND too. Just wish that thought would have come earlier.

9. OK, I was also carrying the Brian Kelly and the Notre Dame flag as well. What happened in South Bend last night? USC is not that good of a football team. I'm very surprised at what happened to them. I really thought this team was heading in the right direction, and I know it's just one game. But to lose at home to a team that your clearly better than is mind boggling. Back to drawing board Kelly. Also know this Kelly, They wont wait another 2 years for you to figure things out. They will ship your ass out!

I love your write ups Boom_Boom, even when you are wrong.

USC has gotten better and it should not have surprised you that they dominated ND.  If they don't do the turn over / penalty thing, they are very tough.

And, put on your seat belt for this one, Kiffin is a better coach than Kelly.  That's right, I said it. 

Kelly gave up.  No time outs called with 4 minutes to go.  That was sad.    He had 2 weeks to prepare, and he was flat out outcoached.  If it wasn't for a kick off return for a TD, the Irish only managed 10 points against a defense everyone likes to laugh at.

Who's laughing now.

tennessee will go bowling. as arid said, i don't really see us going only 2-3 in the final five games of the year. i think you said it best boom, most tennessee fans think they have a bad team on their hands. this young team is getting better, they are just running into some adversity. i rewatched the game this morning and saw a lot of good in the first half. if they can build off that, saturday night should be interesting when the cocks come to town. 

personally, i had an awful day saturday, falling into the red for the first time this year, ouch. but its time to move on from what seems to have been a bad week for most around here. cant wait for the lines to get here tonight

Tennessee ran into exactly what was expected by the 2nd half. Nothing but youth and no depth, nothing they could do at all. There are so many young teams this year that games are not even interesting. LSU has now faced a QB making his first start in college three consecutive weeks. LSU and Bama have guys playing across the board with 3 years or more in the system, it is boys against men this year literally.
