You don't have to answer this, and I am only asking out of curiosity, not to question anything you are doing...
Copied this from my thread a couple weeks ago.
This year Ive cut back my amounts, not out of necessity, but out of caution due to a new arrival . More responsibility = less time.
Back in the day (the last 15 years or so), I didnt really have a budget or the best money management. I'd go huge ($1000-$2000 which is big for me) on a few games and small on a bunch of games. Mix in some wild parlays $100 6-10 teamers etc. Now, not much has changed except I play way more dogs, less parlays (less $ I should say) and have cut my amounts way down. I still dont go by "units", I just bet what I feel. I dont keep track on here because I think its a waste of time (for me, not saying for everyone). My account balance is all I really need to know.
I have policed myself this year. Ive got 3 online books and 1 main local. Most plays are $100-$150. The triple baggers are $300-$500. So yeah, I have 3k+ out on a given saturday. Thats chump change to some people (yeah, even on covers.com). I havent deposited money for 4 years, but I havent withdrawn any either. I have hit a few monster parlays which have padded my account. That money is already set aside for gambling, which is my hobby and vice. I dont really buy anything, just pay bills and go to work.
I still bet a ton of games amd love every minute of it. Degenerate? Nah. I dont spend money I dont have, I dont hide it (I dont openly talk about it either, but my old lady knows i bet) and I'm ok with not betting. I'm ok going .500 and drinking the juice if it means a whole day of action. Nobody wants to lose, but I've come to terms with my "gambling demons". I'm not under the delusion I'm gonna make a career out of gambling on sports. I realized a long time ago that I dont gamble to win, I gamble so I can gamble tomorrow. Most people wont admit that, but its true. Nobody has a number in mind that if they hit it they would stop betting on sports. You dont retire from gambling. If you hit a parlay for $500,000, would that be your last parlay? No freakin way.....
I have tamed my beast and keep him in the cage. Sure, he snarls at me from time to time, but I always let him know whos boss. Doesnt mean I dont have to feed him from time to time....and boy does he like to eat!

As far as % of bankroll goes, I never pay attention to that, but its probably at least 25% on any givien saturday.
I look at it like this. If I bet 40 games and go 24/40 and someone bets 5 games and goes 3/5 for the same total amount of money, its the same percentage (60%), but of course the juice eats into the multi game player. However, lets say we both miss one more game (of course the % is skewed, but just for my point). Now its 2/5 and 23/40.....Doesnt take many losses betting only 5 games to be in the whole.....
I dont like to put all my eggs in one basket. I'd rather make an omelette, which requires many shattered eggs.
