How come you're on CAL? 

I love my Pac-10 FB, so that's undoubtedly the #1 game on my list to watch this weekend.  To bet a side though, is another story entirely.  I'm just wondering how you came to conclusion that CAL is the right side on Saturday, what with this being a "revenge" game for Oregon, at Autzen, and with (who I believe is) the better QB.  Is your thinking along the lines that CAL's running game will keep them in this one?

Illinois has way more speed and better skill athletes on offense. Michigan was able to move the ball with using a very generic attack. The Illini will open it up here. I don't think we necessarily can assume that PSU is a real good team as they whip 3 really shitty teams and lost to a Michigan team using the back up QB that did not have an impressive win prior to PSU. Asking Morrelli to win a big game is playing with fire even when laying a short number.

Thanks for your response Van.  You make some very good points about their offense in big games.  I was and still am on the fence about this game.  I was leaning toward FSU, but you made me reconsider.  I will probably stay away from this game. I don't really like being on the opposite side of games that you are on.
 
You confirmed my thoughts on Penn St and I like the fact that you, Rush, and nropp all like Cental Mich. I will be playing that game now.  Thanks for your input.

Dr. Bob's picks have been posted in a number of threads this week.  Garfather has them in his underdog lines post.
 
He is a tout that has a huge customer base.  His picks come out on Thursday around 6pm and the lines light up like a pin ball machine for the next hour.  DR Bob was only 31% right last week.
 
As for Ball St.  I like the team a lot.  I took them the last 3 weeks 3-0 in those weeks, but I'm off them this week.  My lean is still on Ball St.  Buff is just hard to gauge for me right now.

What makes you think Penn St will be able to out-yard Illinois when they couldn't even do that at home last year? 358 yards to 184 last year with QB's throwing for about the same amount..Mendenhall ripped up Penn St last year for 161 yards on just 14 carries. If it wasn't for a 6 yard fumble return for a TD, along with a safety and a kickoff return for a TD Penn St would have lost straight up last year. This year they are not playing at home, I think Illinois gets the straight up win.

actually no id doesn't make sense....Penn has played flaint, buff, and ND...yea no wonder their rush D looks good...went to Michigan last week and Hart ran all over them. Granted Mendenhall is no Hart, but he did perform pretty well vs Penn last year rushing for over 10 yards a carry...and this year he's avg 7 y/rush...pretty damn good..if Illini can cut down on TO's at home they win outright

I do have to agree with Dosan...then again, who has Illinois played this year.
 
I really think the line is shady....honestly, wouldn't you still be Penn State at 6-7 if that is what it came out at....almost 80% of the wagerline bettors are on the Nittany Lions
 
re: Alabama....can the score more than 10 points against the Florida State Defense?  FSU's offense won't have to move the ball far when their defense gives them a short field once and maybe twice.  Getting the Noles under 3 points is the wiser take here Van.  If it was above 3, I would be on the other side.

Hart did not run all over the PSU defense last week. While they did not have a great game against the run I believe Hart averaged 3.4 yards a carry.

I am all over Buffalo-I usually don't bet bad teams but I cannot pass up the line value, also classic let down spot after having NEB beat and not getting it done.  Also on Bama-simply a better team than FL ST-at least definitely more up side.

FSU will be another game of the year for me once Army rolls. Bama has no defense and Weatherford is gonna look real good against them. FSU has to much speed for Bama in my opinion, best of luck on the rest of your games today.

PSU has no chance of beating ILL there defense cant stop ILL just like Indiana couldnt.
