The schedule for Miami has been less than impressive through the first two weeks, but the offensive numbers are still hard to ignore. Miami is scoring 50 points per game through two games, and they are getting it done in a variety of ways.

Running back Henry Parrish Jr. has racked up 217 yards and four touchdowns through two weeks, and there are other running backs that can step up as well. With 518 yards of total offense through two games, Miami has been on the attack. 

The defense for the Hurricanes has been sharp as well, allowing just 10 points per game. That unit is going to be tested in this game, as Texas A&M has weapons all over the field.

Texas A&M has the talent to put points on the board, but they come into Week 3 scoring just 22.5 points per game. The Aggies put up just 14 points a week ago in a home loss, and there is some pressure on that offense to step up in this one.

Quarterback Haynes King has the biggest target on his back as he threw for just 97 yards in the Week 2 loss. The rushing attack has also been terrible to begin the year as the Aggies are averaging less than 100 rushing yards per game. 

The defense has done its best to give the team a chance, and that unit might have to take over this game as well. 

Texas A&M is a team that entered the 2022 season with a ton of confidence, but that has to be shaken a bit after a loss a week ago. The Aggies have some serious question marks at the quarterback position, and it’s going to be hard for them to score enough points to win this game. 

Miami has been putting up some big numbers on offense so far this season, and they are going to make enough plays to win this game. The Hurricanes look like a team that can win the ACC this season, and they will prove that they are for real in this one.

Michigan State Spartans are scoring 43.5 points per game this season, but don’t be confused by those numbers. Michigan State wants to run the football a ton in this matchup and then let the defense take over.

The Spartans are averaging 228.5 rushing yards per game, and they are holding opponents to just 81.5 yards on the ground per game. Michigan State should have a size advantage in the trenches in this one, and that will give them an edge.

Quarterback Payton Thorne has plenty of big-game experience for the Spartans, but he has struggled a bit this season. Thorne has thrown three interceptions through two games, and that could create some issues in this one.

The Washington Huskies brought in quarterback Michael Penix Jr. in the offseason, and he is off to a huge start this season. Penix Jr. has thrown for 682 yards and six touchdowns this season, and he has the Huskies scoring nearly 50 points per game.

Washington comes into this game with 571 yards of total offense per game, and they feature a balanced attack. The Huskies will be trying to hit on some big plays to slow down the tough Michigan State defense. 

The defense of Washington will also need to find a way to make some big plays, especially against the run. Washington will try to win this game by scoring points, but they also need the defense to step up.

Even though both the Spartans and Huskies are scoring over 43 points per game, you can expect that this game will be won with defense. Establishing the run will be extremely important for each team, and the battle of the trenches will be fun to watch.

At some point, teams are going to have to start throwing the football, and that is where Washington appears to have an advantage. The Huskies just have more weapons on offense than the Spartans, and that is ultimately going to decide this game. 

The spread in this game is extremely tight, but Washington will cover the spread as they come away with a five-point win on Saturday.

 From a Canes fan - You are giving us too much credit for the first two games.  First game was against a bad FCS school and last week against southern Miss, who went 3-9 last year, the canes were down 7-3 just before halftime.  Won 30-7

i don’t think there’s a Miami fan in existence with the same optimism as you right now.  We have not looked great.

Also you’re missing some personnel info

1) King has been benched for Max Johnson, the lsu qb from last year.  He has to be an improvement, King looked awful.

2) Canes leading WR is out for the game. I believe pff had him as second ranked receiver so far this season after Addison.  Canes don’t have anyone to replace him, wr depth was one of our biggest qs this off-season.
