and PIDI I was joking about my comment.  Lighten up.  Unfortunetly I like Connecticut too tonight and whenever I like what PIDI likes, it is bad news for the both of us.

Baylor at UCONN
 
The Baylor Bears roll into Rentschler Field fresh off of their dismantling of Washington State by a 45-17 margin.  The problem for Baylor though is that they also come in 0-6 on the road against non-conference BCS opponents since 1996, and, UCONN is not Washington State.   You see, while Washington State is 0-3 and has been outscored 144-33, UCONN is 3-0 and has outscored their opponents 92-22.  Adding to the Bears' problems tonight is the fact that UCONN is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 at home.
 
Baylor has been led by Freshman QB Robert Griffin.  He has led them both in the air and on the ground as he has completed 62% of his passes and posted 4TDs with no interceptions to go along with generating 288 yards and 4 TDs with his legs.  Defensively the Bears have been stout against the run allowing 95 yards per game and less than 3 yards per carry thus far. 
 
UCONN is led offensively by RB Donald Brown.  Brown, a junior, has amassed 588 yards ruching and 8 TDs in the first three games.  Do the math, thats 196 yards per game and near 3 TDs per.  Along with Brown, the Huskies rely on the arm and legs of Tyler Lorenzen.   While he is not what IO would consider an upper-echelon QB, he does have very good size and an ability to scramble and convert 3rd downs.
 
Defense has been key for the Huskies as they are allowing only 7 points per game.  In doing so they have allowed only 229 yards of total offense per game with only 66 yards of that coming on the ground.
 
We will see tonight what Griffin is made of.  The Freshman will be away from the friendly confines of Texas and he will be playing in a Stadium and against a team that is traditionally a very hard place to play, and on National TV to boot!  In their only test so far this year Baylor got smacked around by Wake Forrest 41-13.  Following up that beat down with wins over a FCS team and over a Washington State team that is 0-3 and has been outscored 144-33 really is not that impressive.  If the Wake Forrest offense could put up 156 yards onthe ground against Baylor I can only imagine what UCONN can do, and if the Wake defense could hold Baylor to 94 yards rushing on 34 totes...well we all know what the UCONN defense does against the run. 
 
UCONN controls this one from start to finish and wins by 3 TDs.

Lets face it, you just got dumped on.  Obviously you didn't realize PIDI's units were quite as big as you saw the $500 in juice (being 1-1).

New to betting, so can someone help me understand what it means when he says 50 units? does that mean $50?

From my understanding you have to bet on a minimum 2 plays. How did he get $5,000 from his 50 unit bet?

A unit is whatever you typically bet. It can be $10, $100, $1000, etc.

In this case, 1 unit = $100

50 units = $5000

Oh ic, so PIDI bet 50 units ($5000) on Louisville +6 & the over? Whats the odds on a 2 team paralay or did he do a money line bet?

FishTaco - (B1/2) means bought half point.  So instead of +5.5 I got Louisville at +6.  Tonight is UCONN -12.

Fishtaco- he is betting 75 units, or $7500 that UCONN will win by more than 12, there is no parlay involved in his bet.

When you put say 50 units on a team you have to risk 55 units. that is the bookies juice, if you win the bet you win 50 units, if you lose the bet however you lose the 55 units that you put up to risk to win the bet.....most of your betting websites will tell you how much you are risking to win the amount you bet before you bet it..........THE LOCK OF THE WEEK IS OLE MISS-6.5 AT HOME!

I am an Arkansas Razorback's fan and Houston Nutt will have his rebels ready to play! Ole miss might win by 3 touchdowns!! Also I can tell you that Arkansas will probably lose by 3 touchdowns and Alabama is a pretty safe bet. I never bet on my hogs because it is hard to root for your team when you need them to get beat my 10 or more to win money lol. But I can tell you that the Hogs suck ass this year and they will get destroyed by the crimson tide!!

Hey fat guy, if anybody is getting dumped on it is you.  I have been following PIDI for years now and know EXACTLY how much he wagers.  I remember last season he had Dallas really big against the Bills and lost that game by a lot of points.  I followed him then and realized it was a stupid thing to do (follow other people) Obviously not his fault.  However, even after reading his posts all the time, I've never seemed to notice he puts his negatives in ( ). Since he won 5000 and lost 5000 and i thought he was up 500 I just asked if he was getting paid the juice as a joke.  You people take online message boards about gambling wayyyy too serious.

Fatguy? I hope that wasn't intended for me? Anyway's...anyone who would take anyone's advice on a message board, isn't right in the head. In fact, I tried to tell PIDI that Colorado wasn't as bad as he thought. However, I got lucky last night.
