What those guys mean is that you're betting all favorites - and the favorite is called "chalk." When you bet a lot of favorites you're called a "chalk-eater."

If you're new to sportsbetting as a whole (and not to the site, my apologies), then it's really easy to get caught into the "Team A is so good they will cover all those points obviously!!" As you go through the process you'll come to find out that it's a lot harder to cover the points as a favorite than an underdog.

Like the picks but you got a bad number on Clemson and Baylor- I wouldn't bet Baylor at anything over -28 and Clemson at anything over -14. You could have bought the hook- Lots of chalk but as I always say: Winners don't pay juice!!

Their just bustin balls. As a newbie you have to earn your stripes around here like anywhere else. I'm a newb too. Comes with the territory my man.

I don't like the Clemson line. Too much chalk for me.

Love the LSU play. Rutgers with injuries kept me away and to much volatility for me on Iowa/MSU.

I'm with the previous poster about buying the hook (1/2 point) on Baylor. Should have on Miami too.

Yea I figured I'd catch some slack for my first time posting its cool tho I can take it and I can give it back. I guess we will just have to let my picks speak for themselves. I'm currently trying to figure out a good parlay any suggestions?

Glad to see someone else knows that. I don't care what the number is,buying points and betting parlays are the 2 worst things you can do in betting. Getting the best line availbe is the best thing yoiu can do in gambling by shopping around. Anyone who bets with only 1 book has no shot of winning in the long run. Best lines are more important then capping the game.

Never Teaser.

Take favorites early in the week. 

Take underdogs right before kick.

Don't be afraid to go against the crowd.

Dont make too many plays.

Play only 5%-10% of your bank at a time. 

Bet the same amount of money on each play. GL
