WASHINGTON (AP)—Democrat Barack Obama told ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” it’s time for college football to pick a champion with a playoff system while Republican John McCain would put an end to performance-enhancing substances.

On the eve of the election, the two presidential candidates were interviewed via satellite by ESPN’s Chris Berman. The taped interviews aired during halftime of game between the Washington Redskins and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Both candidates were asked to name one thing they would change in sports.

“I think it is about time that we had playoffs in college football. I’m fed up with these computer rankings and this and that and the other,” Obama said. “Get eight teams—the top eight teams right at the end. You got a playoff. Decide on a National Champion.”

College football uses a Bowl Championship Series system, commonly known as BCS, that is based on computer rankings.

Obama has a full NCAAF plan.

Miami of Ohio to receive equal funding as Ohio State.

San Diego State will now receive the same TV time as USC.

all mid major teams will now receive 50% of major programs revenue.

All teams will now be ranked #1, losses are simply called "oopsies" and at the end of the season everyone gets a trophy engraved "A for effort!"


McCain had a plan but he stroked out in the middle of writing it.  Palin insists God doesn't like football  and demands it be outlawed.

After Obamas plan is enacted and the NCAA is in financial shambles 3 years later, Obama will run for relelection on the platform of reforming the "corrupt NCAA".

too bad none of the candidates actually discuss about removing the gambling bill because if either one did, that person will get my vote and I'm pretty sure many other degenerates' votes here and other forums.

DIDO THAT.  There are more people in this country that gamble, (I mean bet on sports, go to the casino, get on pools, buy lottery tickets) than VOTE. Oh WELL!!

If thats why you voted for Obama, that is ridiculous. He is just about as likely to do that as he would be for universal health care. so naive!

This is funny as hell...need to add...

If one team is ahead, then points will be divided equally so all games end in tie.  Somebody might be offended by the term oopsies.

All games will be played at neutral site so both teams will have equal numbers of fans.

No tailgating as there will be no charCOAL to cook with.

Joe Biden to do play by play....games now lasting 7 hours.

Here is McCain's NCAA football plan -
 
Florida, Ohio State, USC and Texas will receive billions in tax breaks on revenue.
 
Kent State, Ball State, and Miami of Ohio will have to donate a portion of their revenue to BCS schools.
 
The Sun Belt conference will be disbanded.
 
Washington and Washington State will no longer have football programs because they are located in a blue state and quote "really suck"
 
Boise State is ineligible to play in a BCS Bowl. They will play in the Humanitarian Bowl every year even if they are undefeated.
 
If Ohio State loses 4 games they will still play in national championship game.
 
When McCain dies, Palin will eliminate college football and instead all schools will have hockey programs. All hockey mascots will be Mavericks.
