Here is the deal, all sports have the potential to be fixed. Majority are not. NGC, AKA Nevada Gaming Commission would be all over it if it was the case.
They look at everything. Including people that "Slam" bet horse races. Example : heavy favorite 1/5 shot in a race. Prior to race going off, someone plunks down a huge amount of cash on a longshot, making him from 20-1 down to between 5 or 7-1, at the same time on the other side of the country as the race loads, someone slams the previous heavy fav horse who's odds now went from 1/5 to maybe 8/5 or 2/1. For a big score. At certain tracks that lack technology this can happen and has many times. When it does the NGC investigates who placed the wager.
Not as much anymore as the old days. Back in the old days, Boston College, Toledo, to name a few had players on the take. Shavers, ref's bought...ect. Years ago on a Thursday night CFB game UK played Auburn, UK was covering the entire game getting 17.5, Auburn came back, and now winning with 40 seconds on the clock on the opponents 30, clock running, go into hurry up mode to score with no time on clock instead of kneeling on the ball, thus giving Auburn the cover. The following day, a player on Uk's team was shot from long range on his Frat house porch, the coach and his family were placed under armed protection. Sports Illustrated actually did a story on this. I believe it was 1994.

So Mike Leach a devout Mormon who has made millions of dollars over the years calls his timeouts with his team down by 10 points in the last few mins of the game to extend the game. Hmmm if you want to believe that Coach Leach was doing this because he got in with his bookie at Stanford minus 16 1/2 so be it..

That was beyond odd! Leach is a scum bag no doubt. Play Georgia Tech early tomorrow at -3 or -4 whatever your book has if u want to start Saturday on the right foot. Best of luck! $$$

By the way you stated in your first post that last touchdown is what Vegas wanted.. Stanford winning by 17 was the last thing they wanted.. People who bet WSU early got the line at 17.5 and people who bet Stanford late go in at 16 or 16.5 meaning they got middled..

he called a timout when standford was on the 5 yrd line down 10 points!!!
Yes, to save time for his team to come from behind. Did they have a chance? NO!! Tell him that though. Mike Leach makes WAAAAY more money per year than anyone was willing to pay him to screw up this stupid game.
If you can't figure that out, then you are not even CLOSE to looking at things objectively. NOT. EVEN. CLOSE.
