Question

Who thinks the Badgers pull the upset? I have a feeling the number 1 team in the country loses for the second week in a row. College game is coming to Madison and it is the first time they have hosted a number 1 team since 1997. Night games at Camp Randall should be a very tough test for the Buckeyes. I was at the game the last time Ohio St came to Madison and they got lucky to escape with a W that time on a Pryor game winning drive in the final minutes. That was a very low scoring game and I have a feeling this weekends game will soar under the total as well.

Lean towards Wisky.. they seem to play much better at home, esp. at night.. don't think they are as good as they were LY.. huge coaching advantage to Tressel as well..

He shouldnt have. It means nothing about this game or this weekend, but he shouldnt have - I agree. Wiscy is the play here. You cant win long term betting against spots like this.

It looks like either Wisky or no play.

OSU has only played 2 non-creampuffs all year. Down do the wire win @ Illinois & win vs. Miami @ the 'shoe when Harris threw 4 picks.

If Wiscy can limit turnovers (always an x factor) they have an excellent shot to win this outright. They have a more balanced offensive attack with 2 stud running backs along with a usually efficient passing attack. Throw in the 'night game' factor @ Camp Randall and I am seriously leaning Badgers.

Let's hear the Buck-nut backers talk me out of it.

13-4 on large OSU plays in last 4 years.  All documented on covers.  This game is a no play for me.  If tressel opens up the playbook, I think OSU wins by anywhere from 7-10 points, but if not I think you are looking at a 3-4 point win or a striaght up loss.  If a gun was to my head, I would take wisconsin plus, but there is no gun, so I will just stay away.  I am not sure I agree with the poster who claims Wisconsin has a much better balanced offense.  They might have a slight edge, if any edge at all, and the edge would be tiny, but OSU has a way better defense than Wiscy.  Good situational spot for Wiscy.  No play for me.

This will be another close game like 2 yrs ago when OSU went into Camp Randall. As Insight mentioned, if Tress opens up the playbook and takes advantage of the Wisky secondary (ie: Steve Threet) OSU will leave with a DD win. My gut feeling says he won&#x27;t and will play his typical run run pass punt type offense that drives everyone crazy, OSU comes out on top, but doesn&#x27;t cover -

[/Quote]Allow me to clarify, Wisconsin&#x27;s running game vis-a-vis their RB&#x27;s is much more solid.  Ohio State can not match the physical Clay &amp; the freshman White, he has got some giddy-up.But, of course, Pryor is the x-factor. I&#x27;ve seen him look like crap a number of times.  But if he is the guy who showed up in the Rose Bowl last year, then game-over.  Big W for the Buck-nuts. I guess I have seen less of that guy recently and would bet that Wisky will have the game plan to control him.  The poster who is pointing out the injuries for Bucky&#x27;s D may have a good point, I am not sure who they are missing (aside from the MLB who got hurt a couple a weeks ago).

In my opinion, it&#x27;s up to Tressel what happens in this game. I love Wisconsin&#x27;s DE&#x27;s, and that&#x27;s about it. The thing I&#x27;ve noticed about Wisconsin this year is their lack of speed. Ohio State could win this game by 14 points......or lose. A no play for me.

Where is exactly their "lack of speed" on the field?  Certainly not @ RB with James White.  Tell me I am wrong. Is Nick Toon slow?  Are the DB&#x27;s slow?  How are you measuring that?

Wisconsin will win this game and win it easy. OSU is ranked based on past seasons only. They have shown NOTHING all season to make anybody think they are anything above ordinary.

Public loves the big DD home dog....plus Ohio State has the defense to compete against any team outside of the SEC.

Thats what I&#x27;m talking about.  They are sooooo overrated.  Wisky may not beat them that bad, but can almost guarantee they will win.  I&#x27;m playing the ML.It won&#x27;t be their last loss either.  Way over-ranked.  The AP poll is such a joke.  I&#x27;d put OSU at about 10th in the country, and that is being kind.  Point to any game that says otherwise (this year).

I&#x27;ve never seen a Wisconsin team destroyed by the play action like they were against MSU. Pryor will kill them with play action roll out all night in this one. As far as Wisky displaying their speed, it must have been against UNLV, SJSU, or Minnesota (all ranked 84th or lower in total defense), cause the 2 games where they faced slightly above average defenses, they looked very slow.

The biggest problem facing the Badgers is their special teams. Maybe this is the team speed you speak of. They allowed a 98 yard KO return against ASU and a 76 yard Punt Return against MSU.

The MSU punt return was a game changer. If they can shore that up, they could win out.

MSU outgained them by 152 yards. Speed had alot to do with that. We&#x27;ll see. I&#x27;m on the Buckeyes large. Good luck to you on your wager.
