despite the backup being very capable, I don't think Meyer will want to chance it if Brax is capable, he knows he can play for a title with an unbeaten season and starting an inexperienced QB in his 2nd game across country on the road isn't a sure thing, even if you are playing a team in rebuilding mode
just my opinion but I think Brax plays if he is close

I think he plays if he is close to being able to

Dont down play kenny's (back up qb) abilty to carry osu. Kenny is very good at the qb spot. He was selected as a captin this year and that is not heard of from a back qb. He knows the system very well and can run every play. Remeber last year he came in and brought osu back in the closeing min agaienst purdue.

Cherokee10 is a little bit biased, but per reports there isn't much doubt that Braxton will play...the only question is whether he'll play all four quarters. Urban stated "If he's healthy to play and play like Braxton plays, which, you know, he's not your pocket quarterback and he does a lot of things for us. But if he's healthy to go, he'll certainly go. We are not saving him or holding him back."
I like anything over -17 for Ohio State. If Northwestern pulled 44 points to beat Cal, there's no reason why the combination of Guiton/Miller can also put up 42+.

I'm biased by saying they'll win 63-21? Have you seen Cal's D? Ohio State still has some tweaking to do on D, but 21-24 is max what Cal will put up.
OSU NEEDS style points, if they continue to not crush teams, they'll continue to drop in the polls. Urban knows this, and if this stays around 14-17 (highly doubt it when Brax is named starters) it'll be my biggest wager for this weekend.
You're right though, I'm TOO biased, I take back my score and now say they'll win 78-3.....better?

NW had two lucky tip INT TD's

Line is 16...today in the paper said Braxton is a game time decision..Will not matter K. Guiton is one of the best back-ups in nation....A true Fresh @ qb for Cal...ehhh...that OSU "D" Might Swallow that guy...I'm laying off, but Urban knows he needs style points after dropping in polls..I see a blowout..Sorry....and yes I'm from Ohio, but I bet with my wallet not my heart...

keep in mind the cal D stepped it up in the 2nd half last week and now nick forbes and chris mccain are listed as probable....both would be huge additions to the D. additionally, there has been a heavy focus on angles and tackling in practice this week so expect a much better defensive showing from cal this week.

They forced 6 straight punts to end the game, after giving up 30 points in the first 30 minutes. So it is pretty clear the defense stepped up, he didn't say they were a good defense...

Call me crazy, but I don't see many scenario's where OSU will be in the NC game, even with an undefeated season. If, say, there was 1 undefeated team from the SEC, Big 10, and PAC 12, what do you think the Buckeyes chances are to get in? I'd say slim to none. I mean, Northwestern is alright, but there biggest test is Michigan, which I think they lose anyways. People talk about Bama's schedule for example, but if OSU played Bama's schedule, I see 2 losses minimum.
Ahead of an undefeated OSU team, I'd put each of these teams with 1 loss. Bama, LSU, Texas A&M (I think they lose 2 minimum, but I've been wrong before) Oregon, and Stanford.
I know the teams don't choose who they play, but the quality of opponents they play is low. By the time they face Wisky, they may not even be in the top 25, same goes with Northwestern, so it will certainly be tough and the must blow every team out while allowing very few points to have a chance.
