OK....can someone give me a logical explanation as to why Miss didnt take a knee?

I mean.....wtf was that?
 
they could have taken 3 straight knees to end the game...and still have a blowout win with plent of style points.
 
WTF didnt they take a knee!?!?!??!?!??!
 
i placed 3 wagers today...
 
Miss Under 55.5
Angels Over 9.5
Tampa Bay ML
 
There were 9 runs scored in the Angels game after 3.5 innings....and the game doesnt go over 9.5
 
Tampa Bay is winning 3-1 the entire game...and give up a grand slam in the top of the 9th...
 
and the icing on the cake...
 
Mississippi UNDER....a 35 point 4th qtr...not to mention they had the game won...and could have taken a knee...yet for some reason...refused to...and on a 4th and long with 12 seconds left they get a 30 yard TD run?????
 
you have no idea the aggrevation im dealing with right now......i feel like im cursed.

a knee in the sport of football is used to waste time. a knee in this situation would waste absolutley no time. tough loss.

I teased the Tigers to +24.5 and until that td run was going to win by .5 points. I thought he would take a knee after his QB did that run back to the 30 yard line. But Memphis should have tackled him yes, but taking a knee would have been better and ended the game. I don't think it was fixed either.

I have no idea. I feel for you....licking my wounds from last night myself...

To me it looked like Memphis just gave up and didn't care one way or the other if they tackled the RB.....Can't explain why Ole Miss didn't take consecutive knees though.....

Not nutts fault its the defenses fault. They should have stopped them. How do you let someone run that long on 3rd and long. Memphis just lost their heart thats all.

A KNEEL is used to WASTE TIME..follow me here..when you take a knee on 4TH down...its useless..you waste no time..the clock just stops and you turn the ball over..the play you are referring to was on a 4th and long

thadrizzle..go up he referred to it as 4th and long and that would explain the situation i had no action on that one..

besides everyone knows you either run or take a knee..big fucken deal..he ran it he's acting like it was a CLOSE game, where you're careful and you take knees OR he's acting like they were airing it out. i'm glad actually. situation helps my fantasy team.

did you not watch the game???

 

it was 1st down with 1:52 seconds left...

3 kneels would have ended the game...

i understand you cant kneel it on 4th down....but they werent even letting the play clock expire....they were snapping the ball with 12 seconds left on the play clock....running play actions.....etc etc.

 

3 kneels ended that game....PERIOD.

Unless youre Urban Meyer.....you take a knee there 10 out of 10 times.

Up 24 points....under 2 minutes....its starting to rain and your QB just took a huge hit cause you were trying to get cute and do a play action....no to mention Memphis had completely given up...they had 2 timeouts left and didnt even attempt to use one.

i have never seen a team up 24 points with an oppurtunity to kneel on the ball and end the game....and NOT do it.  If that game wasnt fixed...it was obvious Miss had a stong interest in the OVER spread.

If you coached a bunch of 20 year olds who had practiced since October for this game you wouldn't let the backups go through the motions of some running plays.
 
These kids work hard, the backups are excited as hell to get a chance to execute even a simple running play. That running back is loving his coach for letting him show what he could do. I'd let my backup RB take a couple carries up the gut too, it's not like he called a pitch or a toss, it was a standard dive up the middle and Memphis just quit.

They had the backup qb in. Who cares. He needed some playing time. One playaction rest runs. Same as ball when a team is up 30 in the fourth. Let the guys not shoot because the scrubs are in or the guys with little experience. If memphis couldnt sop um thats thier fault.

These kids lift weights and practice for 10+ months a year. Their whole life is football and only 22 guys get to start. Backups need to get a little burn in blowouts too if a coach wants em to stay interested.
