This is the highest spread UT has had over OU in the history of the rivalry and OU has their best defense in a decade (even if their offense is injured beyond comprehension). Tennessee is arguably a better team than Texas and couldn't beat OU by two TDs, and this is a rivalry game where anything can happen. OU has two weeks to give Hawkins first team snaps in practice and get a couple of their WR and OL pieces healthy. Arch hasn't lived up to the hype and Ewers won't be 100% healthy. Texas may win this game, but they will not win by this amount.

If ou still got receivers out then I'll lean tex. Ou got bailed out by a pick 6 and their offense did close to nothing. So depends how many guys they get back this week.

Always a contested game...and yes the public will be on Texas...in this historically high spread...OU should have lost to a bad Auburn team last week, it took a miracle pick 6 to win...Texas took the week off, but still won by 22 and did not cover an insane SEC spread of 37.5...That and Ewers could be rusty after not playing for over 3 week...So you bring up some good points...This is potentially a great Texas team, the best team NIL money can buy...It is a revenge game for Texas...Who knows if Texas could be Tennessee...They seem like two relatively evenly matched teams...And what did Tennessee do to OU in Norman...25-15...
I won't be on the game, since I am a homer..,OU's offense is suspect, while Texas is not...The Defenses this year are relatively equal...I would take Texas up to -13...but, continue to do your research...

It's still at 14.5 on FanDuel even though it's 6.5 to 8.5 everywhere else listed by Vegas Insider. Will be interesting to see where the line lands during game week, after the bye.
