I'm not a pac 12 fan but I can't deny what my research has told me. They are the best conf in terms of returning team strength and with 9 of the 12 teams returning starting qbs who are above average it is easy to see why.
With the sec power bama in transition at qb, or affects the top of that conf significantly. Yes auburn returns a ton of talent as does Florida but the gators have a ton to prove. Lsu lost so many starters they may not know who they are until Nov.
Sorry sec honks but if u study every team in every conf u have to admit u are second fiddle to the pac 12 this year at the start. How it plays out remains to be seen

Top to bottom it has the most complete teams and at the top u have Oregon stanford ucla all top 10 caliber. No other conf can boast that preseason. We'll see what happens during the year. I am a big 12 fan and I hate the pac 12 but the facts don't lie brother

IMO considering all teams in the conference the power rankings are as follows.1) Big 122) Pac 123) Big 104) SEC5) ACC
The big 12 is my fave conf but there is no way that preseason u can put them ahead of the pac 12. Baylor lost 10 starters. Texas is in transition .tcu coming off 5 wins. Who are u banking on in the big 12 besides ou and baylor?
Ucla beats texas. Bama beats wva. Fsu beats Okie state. Auburn beats k state. It sure what teams you're hanging your hat on bro

I'd probably still give the edge to the SEC, but I do think the gap is smaller than it has been. And right now there is a decent gap between the Pac 12 and the 3rd best conference, which is probably the Big 12.

I would agree with this. The P12 has a lot of teams returning good talent this year, especially @ qb, but until one of them breaks through & wins it all I'm not going to push them above the SEC.

Mugg since fsu won the bcs title does that mean the acc deserves mention as best conf? I don't think so
No, not at all. The P12 is right there, & on paper they look deep this year. But, even as a P12 follower, I'm not ready to anoint them the best conf. yet.

Lsu v Oregon was 3 years ago and Oregon turned the ball over several times. The yards total was even. One win a year does not make a conf better. Is the acc beyter than the sec be a use Florida St beat auburn? Is the big 12 better than the sec because Oklahoma smashed bama?

My grandpa was a heavy smoker. He would smoke every day. One day when I was a young kid, I heard my mom tell him "If you ever want to see your grandchildren graduate, you're going to have to stop smoking". Tears dripped down his face, realizing what was at stake, he stopped immediately. Three years later, he died of cancer. I was destroyed.
Today, 30 and I haven't touched a cigarette my while life. A slight feeling of regret as the idiocracy and grammar from some of these posts gave me cancer anyway.
