Oregon Ducks does NOT deserve to be in the top 5

Question

This is one of the most overrated teams in all of college football. They play in a weak conference (at least this year) and haven&#x27;t really played anyone. So what if they beat Stanford, they were at home and should beat them anyways. I will bet any money Ducks do NOT run the table and go to the National Championship game. Hell they could lose next week against UCLA or the week after that @ USC. I would put everyone in the top 10 over them except LSU. Boise State should be complaining, there is no reason why Oregon jumped over Boise. Makes no sense whatsoever. I can&#x27;t wait until Ducks start losing and trust me they will lose at least 2 games this year.

umm&#xD;&#xA;the Pac10 is one of the better conferences in college football this year&#xD;&#xA;Oregon is a top 5 team until they lose, they won by 35 points in Knoxville bro over the same team that should have won in Baton Rouge,  Florida won by 14 in Knoxville&#xD;&#xA;UCLA won at Texas&#xD;&#xA;Arizona beat Iowa&#xD;&#xA;Arizona State lost by 1 at Wisconsin (should have won that)&#xD;&#xA;the Pac10 league is a good conference, maybe not as good as the SEC but they are one of the better ones out there this year

We&#x27;ve seen what the Oregon team "speed" does against power defenses, ie Boise and Ohio State.. they get shut down..Wouldn&#x27;t surprise me to see tham at 10-2 or 11-1, but they will lose along the way.. that defense won&#x27;t hold up all seasonAnd right now, I&#x27;d say Ohio State, Boise, Bama, Nebraska are better..

Agreed.....completely....highly overrated.

Oregon is #1 most exciting CF team...but maybe not even a top 5 team overall.

The old addage...defense travels applies here. The Ducks are all O....and at least 1 week the O will stall...or someone will stop them and Oregon loses....it's gonna happen, so might as well let them enjoy #2 for a short while. My top five right now:

OSU.....NEB....AUB....ALA.......BSU...

OKLA.....ORE......LSU.....TCU....SC

The SEC as a conference still rules CF...but Ohio State did what they had to...Indiana got nothing at all against OSU starters...so at least for this week they earn #1. NEB is impressive...the KS win was big...NEB stock to da sky....

Prior to last week Oregon had only allowed one TD in the second half all year.  Not as bad a defense as everyone believes.  Some teams play D with brut strength like Iowa, rushing only their front four, others do it with speed and constant substitutions.  Splitting hairs saying they don&#x27;t play defense.  BOL

Just saying something doesnt make it so. This Oregon offense is unbelievable. They find ways to hang major points against any defense. With such a versatile offense that is very hard to prep for I think they most certainly can run the table.

The statement that the PAC-10 is an overrate conference doesnt make a lot of sense to me. First of all I think they are arguably the number 2 conference which most people will agree with. They certainly are no lower than 3rd with maybe the big 10 being second. Given this I dont see how they are overrated.

Its also funny that you say Boise St. should be upset since they play in a much weaker conference than Oregon but Oregons weak conference is one of your points. Also the fact that they could lose to teams every week like UCLA or USC is a testimate to how good and deep that conference is. A lot of this post is counterintuitive, please give a fact about why they are overrated instead of poorly thought out opinion.

Not sure how someone could say the big 10 is better than the pac 10. ASU almost and should of beat Wisco at Wisco and asu was predicted to finish 9th in the conference. Arizona beat Iowa. Other than OSU the big 10 is very weak.

Why do you guys like bringing up Wisconsin vs ASU game? Okay ASU misses a PAT big deal, that would have only TIED the game. And why say ASU should have won the game when WIS was the one leading by a TD. BIG 10 has Ohio State, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Iowa. PAC 10 only has what Oregon, Stanford, and Arizona. I find it amusing how everyone is jumping on the Ducks bandwagon because of their "dominating" first few games. They remind me so much of Michigan, they have huge performances against shit teams and once they play a real team, they shit the bed. Mark my words, Oregon will get their first loss @USC or @CAL. Both are at the bot of the PAC-10 conference.

Really? How did the Oregon speed offense match-up LY vs the Buckeyes or Boise?  This offense can be slowed down and its defense is just decent.. will end up 10-2.. no way they should be ranked ahead of OSU or Boise right now..
