I don't want to take anything away from Oregon, they are a very talented team. Unfortunately they don't play anyone for the rest of the season. Overall they have played an extremely weak schedule with the strongest team being a weak USC team. I mean really, ASU had no business being in the top 10...Cal either.
Having said that, LSU has a definate disadvantage at the coaching position. Miles is winning simply because talent-wise, the Tigers are head-and-shoulders above ANY team in the country. They are able to make mistakes (and lots of them) and still win. If Miles gets his shit together, this team could be unstoppable.
just because LSU keeps limping to some 4th quarter comebacks against a bunch of 3 loss teams doesn't mean they are head and shoulders above everyone, if you want to judge a schedule by the teams rank at the time of play then Oregon's only loss is to number 4 California, with wins over number 10 USC and number 4 Arizona State, that isn't much different than LSU's schedule, yeah they beat a bunch of ranked teams, but many of those teams aren't ranked anywhere close to that anymore
Kentucky has 3 losses
Auburn has 3 losses
Alabama has 3 losses
South Carolina has 4 losses
Florida has 3 losses
LSU has played their tough opponents at home and it took miracles for them to win most of those games, their vaunted defense has given up 24, 43, 24, & 34 their last 4 games, they are a good team, don't get me wrong, but they aren't "clearly" a better team than Oregon
I'm unbiased in every way, I had LSU ranked number 1 for the longest this season and I said they were the best team in the country about a month ago, but that was before I realized how bad their QB is and before I saw their defense give up 24, 43, 24 & 34
I think Oregon and LSU are both better than Ohio State, so hopefully they get to meet up, our only chance of seeing these two teams play though is for Michigan to beat the Luckeyes, otherwise LSU or Oregon will have to beat them for the National Title, the Bucks don't have the speed to match up with LSU or Oregon in my opinion, that is why I would rather see a classic matchup of LSU vs. Oregon, I could see your point if you would lean to LSU because they are nice, but to say they are clearly head and shoulders better than Oregon would be inaccurate in my opinion, I think Oregon is the better team at this point during the season
