OREGON/CAL.. Who ya got?

Been looking today and yesterday to find any conversation about the thursday night game(OREGON/CAL) and haven't seen much of anything ... im leaning over but everyone and their mother is on it. leave your thoughts on the game and your pick and lets get a little conversation going.  to all

OVER  1H AND FOR GAME

OREGON D ITIS NOT GOOD AS OF LATE , THEY DO ALLOW PTS  TO OPPOSSING TEAMS---ON THE OTHER SIDE---THEY DONT GIVE A FUCK AS THEY CAN SCORE A TD IN 2-3 MINS AND IN 80% OF THEIR POSSESIONS

SO ---- OREGON MAY VERY WELL ERASE THIS  SUCKERS OUT OF THE EARTH ---- OR AT SOME PT WHILE CATCHING SOME  BREATH, CAL CAN BACK DOOR COVER----

SO WITH THAT IN MIND-----SIT DOWN GRAB A BEER AND ENJOY THE DESTRUCTION
AND TAKE THE OVER

And my thoughts are that Cal is ranked 9th in rushing defense. Oregon hasn't faced a team this season that can stop the run except LSU, and they were held to 54 yards. Cal should be just as capable of doing the same... Cal shut down James down last season, holding him to under 100 yards, and I feel like they will do it again this season. Oregon will pass enough, and run enough to keep balance and win the game. However, that TERRIBLE defense they have, (and keep in mind, they have played NO ONE, except LSU, and we see how that game went), will allow Cal and a QB who has been waiting for this game to keep it within the spread. Oregon has been penalized 29 times for 294 yards, and I think that will play a major role in this game as well. A lot of people are all on the Oregon bandwagon now, because they have blown out a few nobody teams. This is the same Cal team they played last season, just improved, and they are gonna keep it close once again.

Darron Thomas led the nation in passing TD's for the 1st three or four weeks of the season. The Cal d line is no where near as good as last yrs. Chip may run it up to 70 if he has a chance for last yrs incidents and cal wouldnt be caught dead faking an injury again

Really? They returned most of their starters, and they are part of the reason they are ranked 9th in the nation at stopping the run. Curious as to where you get your information?

Tappy enjoy your thoughts on this game though I am on the other side of this one.  Cal's D ranking is high because they gave up 48 total yards to Presbyterian and played Fresno tought at Cal.  The stats that stick out to me in regards to Cal's D is that they have given up almost 1000 yds on the road this year.  Concurrently, Every FBS school they have faced has rushed for over 100 yds against them.  Robbie Rouse averaged 5.1 yrds a carry in Cal's game v Fresno St.  This D is a Stat fraud.  LIke I have already stated Cal is jekel and hyde tough at home and a fraud on the road.  Personally, I think the Ducks romp here.  I could be way wrong though.  BOL to all.

Well, If Cal is a stat fraud then so is Oregon. Their SOS isn't that much higher than Cal's is right now. And you have to factor in last season as well... This same team, pretty much, except improved IMO, is playing the same Oregon team who they held to under 100 yards last season.

I think the bears cover here. Why would they put a potential blowout on national television? I see Cal losing by 14-17 points. GL all.

obviously this tappy guy likes cal and no1 is gunna talk him into the other side....anytime some1 posts their opinion on cal's d tappy has a heart attack like cali is his girlfriend

It's called a forum... It is where people go to express their opinions, and discuss points of view. Us big kids do it, you should try it too.

I don't think Cal's defense is anywhere near where it was last year.  They lost Cam Jordan, Mike Mohamed & Chris Conte and are playing freshmen at all levels of the defense.  I've noticed Cal has, thus far, had trouble with the pass-rush this year.  just my thoughts.

I'm not saying Oregon covers here, but why put a potential blowout on national television? Ask UCLA what happened when they rolled into Autzen on a Thursday evening last year.

This is a cal team that only hung 23 on a TERRIBLE husky defense without turning the ball over once. And beat disgraceful Colorado by a field goal.

Playing in Eugene.
Cal faked injuries last year to slow down the game (revenge motive?)
Oregon is gonna punch it in with 30 seconds left if you give them the chance.

In my opinion this game is not going to be close. Neither team is looking ahead.
