I haven't followed college football very closely this year and this line has me flummoxed.

Yeah, but what if I thought the line should have been SDSU -9, and it's only 6, so should I take AFA then? It's the exact same train of thought, but gets you to a different decision. I understand what you are saying though. And perhaps this isn't the best game to use an example. But there are games where two different people will use the EXACT same angle, and be on opposite sides.

i found an explanation that makes a lot of sense. for me, the most significant stat is SDSU's coach is 9-0 vs. the triple option. that ain't a fluke... at the same time, i'm probably one of the worst sports gamblers EVER. no joke. i've surpassed a 65% losing record the past four years. that's almost impossible to do..... it's laughable it's so ridiculous....

Sure, But that would never be... In stats, vs other teams, etc. AF should be no less than even. Then you take into acct. home, missing player, and tangibles, etc. It works out where it should be...
I get your point too, but to think from the begininng SD -9 is out of possibility on a "come on man" point of view.
I loved AF and did on their loss 5 weeks ago. SDST has their number too... Everything about it looks NOW like SD and I already am stuck with AF +3.5
