What's Up Family ????

Not me , the USC late TD was $1,640 swing for my Bankroll ...   Gotta know when to walk away , plan  on while on the Plus side of things ( End the season up over $1800 ).  The games have been highly unpredictable the last 4 weeks , with plenty of huge Upsets. ....



Anyways

Don't Over think it , Don't bring up the near Meaningless game they played at Ohio ,after the BOBCATS gave them a 2 game cushion by losing the previous week ...

The line is -7 here in WNY and Climbing ..


The BULLS are Loaded with Offensive talent , Scouts are touting WR Anthony Johnson as a top 10 pick , Center James O Hagan as a 2-4th round pick , QB Tyree Jackson might be a 1- 2nd round pick in 2 years ...The 2 headed Freshman RB duo is almost unstoppable ....WR KJ OSBOURN is Solid , TE MABRY is a Load ....

Playing in a Dome is a huge bonus for the Bulls Offense ..
If it was outside I would give the Huskies a better chance of pulling the upset ...

Where will Northern Illinois get enough offense from to keep up ????

Double Up......with all due respect I do not see Buffalo as a strong play at all, especially because a bunch of locals in western New York are pushing the line up locally.  Any other reasons?

This game has reverse line movement....with most of the bets (over 70%) on Buffalo, but the line has gone from -4 to -3.5.

Are you aware that N. Illinois has beaten Buffalo 11 straight times....yes that's 11.  You might say that N. Illinois OWNS Buffalo.

This is a Northern Illinois team that only allowed BYU 6 points against a Buffalo team that lost 13-42 against Army.

I also like that Northern Illinois has a prolific running game and stopping the run is not one of Buffalo's strengths.

I really think your getting the better team +3.5 points with the Huskies and Ford Field in Detroit should have more Huskie fans and you don't have to worry not having a fast track for their run game inside a dome.

Hope you don't mind my opinion on the game....just trying to help.

Buffalo is literally double digits better, it’ll take refs & turnovers to keep Huskies in this one (which happens in 60% of games in this conf) , I can’t bet MAC but man does Buffalo look easy to the eye

Silver lining is that Helton was retained by USC for another year......fans in Westwood and South Bend smiling.

Double I worry about this being too big a stage for Buffalo....

Northern Illinois is far more experienced as a team and staff in this spot.

But talent wise you are spot on. Buffalo is superior.

The unpredictability of the MAC scares the SH!T outa me, but regardless I just don't see how the Huskies have enough offense to keep up in this one.

Look deeper.  Don't think Buffalo could have held BYU to 6 points and these teams play every year with N. ILL winning the last 11 meetings.  Hard to buck that trend IMO and on paper they look pretty even and forget the last 2 games, the Huskies had nothing to play for.

I won’t bet the MAC so I don’t care but you make good points, they do have a tough defense,  I think Buffalo wins but I have no dog in that fight , northern has defense & coaching edge most likely but offense wins more times than not in 2018

Double - I hear you on Buffalo, and they definitely have a talent advantage.  But, several posters on here bring up some salient points for the community to consider.   Another game was NI at home against Utah.   I think NI was missing their starting QB.  Utah was a 11 pt fave, won by 18.  But, for 3.5 quarters, it was a one TD game.  I was on Utah in that game and I covered, but I was so disgusted with Utah that I did not think I deserved it.    I guess from my perspective, this is probably a no play, but I hope your Buffalos kick butt in the game and its bowl.    Thanks for all your contributions to the forum...

would you guys say the same thing about the Sun Belt...App St often looks like world beaters when they play power 5, then they lay an egg against a La La and win by 7 as a 17 pt fave.  I guess CUSA and MWC is like that as well, especially this time of year.   I characterize virtually all the teams in the non Power 5 as 2 stars with a few 3 stars sprinkled in, at the end of a long season, where they are beat up and don't have much to play for...

I don't mean to be jealous of your $5,100 gain if Buffalo wins MAC Championship, but don't the books usually pop the balloon at the end of a long parlay to get out of paying the big prize?  Your Buffalo to win the MAC is like a season long parlay.  I have seen too many late Saturday games to screw big parlays.  I wish you win it, but just like LSU game last Saturday Northern Illinois looks like a better bet with points.  JIMHO.  Don't know about college football much.

I hear you and certainly respect your opinion and knowledge.  I just did not want to see the bus get too loaded without hearing a different opinion on this game.

Buffalo definitely has a nice little team, but they were +$1,000 and not in the top 4 teams predicted to win the MAC and the Huskies were the favorite at +$275 primarily because of their defense and returning 14 starters from last years team.

I feel pretty confident that Buffalo would have been no better than 7-5 too had they played #25 Iowa, BYU, #13 Utah and Florida State.  These teams are all big and physical and games against them take a toll on you and that could have also resulted in more conference game loses.

We will know on Friday if this tougher schedule worked to the Huskies advantage or if Buffalo is one of the most improved teams in the country.  Let's enjoy the games!!!

in all due respect, you must be kidding me...you think the books have their hooks in the MAC officials...and said officials would risk a RICO federal rap to help one team or another beat the spread...that's laughable...For the most part, there is just bad football in the MAC and other Non Power 5 conferences, played with 2 star players and marginally paid coaches...

The only Buffalo game I watched start to finish was the Ohio debacle and I thought to myself watching that Buffalo players looked soft. Maybe they didn't have to win but the team didn't inspire me at all. If I was to bet on this game it would have to be N. Ill plus the points.

I am not saying college football conferences systematically work with Vegas to defeat large parlay payouts.  It has been my observation over the years to see late Saturday college football game blows up parlays and sometime teasers for the benefit of the books.  Just last Saturday Notre Dame had no business in allowing a late touchdown to USC.  I don't have any specific numbers, but I wouldn't be surprised that Notre Dame was the last leg of many parlays.  In this MAC Chaimpionship game, Buffalo is only 3 or 3 and a half point favorite.  Notre Dame was a large favorite over USC.  So Notre Dame had room to give up a late touchdown to USC and still win the game comfortably to keep its hope of getting into the playoffs.  In this game Buffalo does not have much room to give up a late score to Northern Illinois and still win the game.  That is why I have a sneaky suspicion Northern Illinois will upset Buffalo.  I am not saying referees will actively collude to make Buffalo lose, but I have seen too many bad calls in big college games not to be sure all referees do a standout job.  Latest example was LSU game at Texas A&M last Saturday.  Coupled with the fact that Northern Illinois has defeated Buffalo in 11 straight games, I just feel that the books will be happy to avoid big monetary liability.  If a win by Northern Illinois also results in the books' having to pay out a lot of money, then it is a different story.  I hope Buffalo wins as almost everyone in this thread agrees.  I won't trust them under the circumstances.  I watch almost no college football, and I watch no MAC games.  I won't watch this game, either.

I watched Buffalo vs Rutgers and I can say this:

Tyree Jackson is going to get drafted and will be an excellent NFL backup. And may surprise some people as a Russell Wilson-Esque starter for a short time.

WR Anthony Johnson is also getting drafted.

So you have two NFLers at two key positions.

I also watched Buffalo vs Army and Army absolutely destroyed them with the Triple Option. They never had a chance.


The Ohio game bothers me as NIU beat Ohio and mauled Buffalo.

But Buffalo has some quality wins all over the place this year:
Temple Eastern Michigan Miami Ohio.

So eye popping wins there for a team like Buffalo which is typically an underdog to poor Rutgers teams.

yeah but the ohio game was an outlier buffalo knew if they beat crappy bgsu they were winnning the title ohio season was on the line
