While Florida State has had a disappointing season this year,the talent is still there.Bettors find it hard to lay DD's in sports,mostly because there's a chance of the backdoor cover.The offense has been terrible this year which only emboldens bettors to take the points.The talent on the defensive side of the Seminoles is pro ready.That along with their strength of schedule makes them a STRONG play today laying DD's.


The linesmaker question today is "Are you man enough to lay DD's when it looks like your team won't cover the spread"

...yes True::you are so right..its like a state championship high school team playing a college team...Florida State team is Nfl ready even the backups!!

i get what you are saying but you make it seem like the backups are ready to be playing on sundays, which they are not.

No it's actually expected because this game is the only thing to bet on right now.The later games have lines around 3 which don't give bettors the COMFORT of getting DD's.

If he is wrong, it's onto the next game.  I just have a feeling that what you know about capping you could fit into a thimble.

On a public play when Vegas is flooded by square bettors on vacation, not unusual.

No one wants to bet on Florida State and the ones who do will have second thoughts seeing the line move.I always stick to my guns when gambling.How many points will make S.MISS bettors content???? I'm content laying 15 with Florida State.

Wrong...Public doesn't move lines 4 points, sharp money does. That being said it doesn't mean Smiss is a winner but I wouldn't want to be holding an FSU -15 ticket.

I usually like your analysis Scorpio, but I disagree on this one. All the favorites have covered the spread so far and this game is ideal to take the points (I have +15). Yes laying DD is always hard but even if the seminoles have had a mediocre season they are still a very prestigious football program, what about the golden eagles?

This might be a long day for fsu backers looks like the refs are on southern miss. Roughing the kicker what a joke he was barely touched why isn't that a 5 yrd penalty . These refs aren' very bright. Let the boys play it' a bowl game

I know it's early boys but doesn' look good at all . Terrible flow to this game fsu doesn't look good at all. Smu wants it more which is making talent gap non existent
