@Chiefthechief1
I would not recommend betting on sports like that if you are trying to make money on it longterm.
I tried parlaying heavy favorites in the nfl on the money line a few years back. I figured with those odds each heavy favorite was pretty much guaranteed to win. But there was always an upset in the bunch... a -17 lost, -14, and a lot of teams with spreads around -10.
I would never recommend putting a lot of money into that sort of betting "strategy" and I use that word loosely.
Upsets happen on a regular basis in sports. Colorado has a terrible team yet they managed to knock off TCU and almost beat USC.
My best advice would be to follow a few good cappers on here and look for consensus picks. Don't limit yourself to one sport or bet too often. Also do some research on every single bet you make.

Thank u for the kind words, but I bet sports everyday. I have been for last 20years, I just curious about UNC game , getting people thoughts on some of the games..
I won 9k today, I won 20k last week.
last year I won 250k and I bet small to win big, and I make my safe plays and go big.
thr nfl is very tricky, anyone can beat anyone anyday.. but I know every player, I like to stay away from traps and fishey games lines…. I really kill it on prop bets, and lower them to make them safe..
nba, nhl, ncaa football and basketball.
I lost 3-4 tickets today but 1rebound, 1point, Needed Mike evens for 4catches to cash ticket. He had 4
I watch sports everyday, every game, are follow it close and check stats, know all the players, been betting so long that I have learned a lot from all dum stuff…
my safe bet 2days ago was the Bills ML, Lakers ML(with a NO Booker,&Beal out)
but I lost bc I had Boston NHL - they were up 3-1 with 1 min left in the game. And they let them tie game and win it on OT.
the worst bad beat…. Gambling it happens
but yea, I just like get insight and thoughts on games - etc… I never will follow anyone like base all my plays off following someone else… lol na Been doing this way too long… Again thank you for your concern
Your right about favs will always lose..
but just looking take couple safe plays make it +100

Mike evens had 3 catches. Needed 4 to hit ticket..
only sport that I hate is baseball… u have to just bet small and take underdogs in baseball and u can profit. But I just hate betting baseball and only bet it bc it’s only sport on….
I have tickets where I won 45k,30,20 etc
most ever hit was 45k. Hit 35k on superbowel last year. But yea. I know what I’m doing…. Just like get thoughts and info and see what pep have say about a game I’m interested in….

i Like all except North Carolina. They have an awful defense on the road. i can see the losing.
I would swap out Texas A&M for North Carolina! They have an awesome Defense against a South Carolina offensive line that is missing many players, no WR, and playing second road game in a row

Nice Picks! For what its worth, I like Texas A & M better than North Carolina, I see that one as a dog fight, A & M rolls imo!
GL with you bets today!

That is a lot of money for a parlay dude . What i would do in your place is to play 100 each ( once you checked all the plays ) and make a 30.00 dlls parlay . I can asure you that you are not going to be rich as fast as you think . This is a hard bussines and if you want to me on it the 1st thing is to have discipline . To be greedy will not let you go any far .
Money management and discipline are the most important things in sports gambling , IMO .
Anyway , BOL on whatever you choose to do

Can you talk about taxes please?
I'm curious, at those levels of money - do you attract additional IRS scrutiny? Do you declare wagering as your profession or do you just pay the lower rate on wagering winnings? If so, have you been audited? Also, can you give advice on some tax mitigation strategies? How do you move you funds around - do you use multiple books or just one or two trusted ones?

Hope you didn't place that bet. North Carolina lost.
Had a bad beat in a parlay tonight, last leg was TEX/ARI under. Of course the idiot manager blew it by leaving Martin Perez in the game to face 10 batters and give up 4 runs. Do MLB teams not have bullpens anymore???
If you have a ton of money to play with you could always bet $100 on single -110 game odds and double your bet every time you lose. But most of us don't have the kind of money necessary to backstop a bad losing streak. It would involve a lot of research and only betting one game at a time.
Long losing streaks are rare for me but I don't have the money to make bank off of the above betting strategy. My advice is to make your own picks and then look for consensus in the forums or elsewhere online. There are a few people on covers with extremely high winning records in specific sports, definitely worth tailing someone who is hitting at a 70%+ clip especially if you agree with their pick.
I have also been google searching game predictions the last few weeks and it is a very useful tool. Do it every SAT in ncaa football matchups involving ranked teams and you are almost guaranteed to find at least 1 great bet per week... some bets are close to a 70-80% certainty imo before the game is even played.
Example: I google search "TEAM A vs TEAM B predictions" and read the writeups I come across and look at the stats and historical trends.
There were a few writeups on FRI saying to take the massive underdog Blackhawks on the ml vs the Golden Knights as a value bet and they ended up winning the game.

you clearly don’t win 20k in one day. And 250 k in one year. Otherwise why would you be asking the forum for their thoughts on a 7 team ml parlay that lost. Please help me understand this.

Looks like you had six of seven right with North Carolina ring the stinker. I agree with the majority of those who responded to this thread. Sorry you lost but I'm sure you'll come back next week with an even larger attempt. At least in horseracing on Pick 6 tickets they offer a consolation payout for hitting 5 of the 6.

@Pablo989
I do, I usually Allways read up on predictions and then I check back games, plus what I know from my eyes…
Yea, I toke out UNC (Thank Goodness!!!) I hit the ticket, I changed UNC out for Texes ATM coming off that bye at home…. I stayed away from Oklahoma(fig that game could be suspect game)
Ended up taking UCLA, Washington, Ohio st,SMU, Texas A@m,FSU, ND,= usually I don’t take that many teams but needed get it as close as possible to the +100 odds.
2500$ won 4850$
I’m real good at betting props for all sports games, 30$ to win 1500 etc, 100$ to win 1k-3500 Lost 4-5tickets by 1pt, 1 rebound. 1 shot on goal, it’s gambling
Baseball is worst sport to bet to try make money, just bet super small and bet underdogs…
I feel makinf tickets and lower the prop plays to safer plays, add in whatever u feel is safer that will hit, not saying it’s lock, just saying something they hit almost every game…
big thanks to my guy for telling me get rid of UNC ??????

Last year I asked in a thread if there is such a thing as a professional gambler, or a "sharp" and asked covers if someone is making a living betting on sports to show the part of their tax return where they have income of six figures, from a sports wagering site.. Or showing say career winnings from Fan Duel that are huge...(Fan Duel will track your career winnings and losses and it is always available). Are you willing to show it?
I am not trying to be a jerk at all, but am still looking for someone to prove they are making that kind of money betting sports.... If you are, I want to congratulate you, very impressive.

Not looking to argue about if you cashed the ticket or not, but after rereading your post and not seeing you swapped out a losing team for one that won several hours later, it's very difficult to believe you. Had you posted you swapped out the eventual loser for another team, even if the new game was a minute or two in play, I wouldn't have selection issues from you. You failed to respond to comments/questions from others which raised eyebrows opting for only a few of your choosing. You claim you've been doing this for the last 20 years, that should put you late 30's or older and as such you should know better. I give people the benefit of the doubt most times until it is proven/shown they don't deserve it and, again if you really cashed it I'm happy for you, but you no longer have credibility with me. If you're offended by this, sorry but I call them like I see (read) them.

@TheBlackKnight
After re-reading the OP's posts I think he is either making everything up OR greatly exagerating the amount of money he is betting & making.
Ask him to post an image of his ml parlay bet for $2500.
It doesn't exist.
Anyone who can make 10k+ in a week would not be wasting time/money going on here asking us for advice about a $2500 7-leg ml bet.
Experienced gamblers know these sorts of heavy favorite parlay bets are the dumbest bets around because they will lose a majority of the time.
