when you play 8 games against S.E.C. competition you dont need to play the other 4 games agaist good teams PlUS other BCS teams wont travel to an S.E.C school tpo play is my guess.
florida plays florida st]
alabama plays Michigan
ole miss plays TEXAS
Tenn played Nc state
so playing 8 conference games and 1 tough non conference game is a heck of a schedule. Just look at the s.e.c strength of schedule and it shows it.

All conferences play shit games 4/12 of the games or 33% of games are trash...i pick on the SEC because ESPN loves the SEC, and will have them playing each other again in the N.C. game, and why talk about conferences that dont have a chance at the N.C. game????
THE se.c has been opposed by 6 other BCS conference teams in the last 7 years for the national championship and won all handily. why shouldnt ESPN be fond of the S.E.C. ITS the best league by far in the country. PERIOD

USC is the ONLY team that consistently played a full schedule. Go back over the L8-10 years & add up how many of the 3-4 OOC games were played vs D-I & BCS opponents.......& take note of how many were OTR. Don't forget that the "neutral" site games were often thousands of miles away but short drives for their opponent. You also had to consider that they played 9 conference games & only 3 OOC, so they essentially always played an extra BCS opponent on their OOC schedule compared to ohio st. who always poached another MAC team for their schedule.
Compare that to ANY other team in D-I & there's no comparison..........other than maybe ND they always played a more legit schedule than anyone else & it's not even close.

Just curious, what would happen if a team like Baylor or Louisiana Tech played Florida or LSU? Pretty sure the scoreboard would be lit up and I don't mean by either of the piss-poor SEC offenses.

Bayor or LTECH would light up LSU or FLorida
How did the UNSTOPPABLE Oregon Ducks offense that averages 50+ per game the last 3 years look against LSU, and even Auburn
Or the Oklahoma teams that would score 50 a week against the Big 12, and couldnt break 20 against the SEC in the title games

Spread offense like that doesnt work against the SEC....QB doesnt even have time to scan the field
you obviously didn't watch the NC game between Auburn and Oregon... or else you are one of the SEC dick-suckers who watched that game and actually thinks Auburn out-played Oregon...
you play that matchup 10 times, there is ZERO chance Auburn wins 5 of them...
people around here REALLY need to learn what they are watching when they are watching football...

oh yea... and i am giving Auburn the first matchup... but out of the next 9... NO, Auburn is not taking 4 out of 9... that was a fucking fluke if there ever was one, and you shouldn't need to watch it on replay (although, clearly you should) to know that...
open your fucking eyes and learn how to absorb what you are seeing...

Bottom line... anybody who honestly believes Auburn was the best team in football that year gets not 1 ounce of respect from me... you do not have a fucking clue if you really believe that Auburn team was the best team in football that year... seriously! that is just fucking pathetic...

That was last year. LSU's offense is no where near that level. Oregon and LSU's defenses are very similar but Oregon's offense would outperform LSU this year.
In fact, it's a round robin between Bama, Florida, Oregon and KSU this year. OU would have a decent game too. Not too sure about ND. They'd just get shut out plain and simple. But not blown out.

So you're a Big 12 fan eh? Sure those teams score plenty of points against 11 wet paper bags, but they don't stand a chance against the speed of the SEC. If Baylor played LSU, even at home, I would take Baylor TT U17.

Tulsa University---where i graduated!!! Im a HUGE college football fan....of good games.....TU is in a crappy conference, but any opportunity we get to play a real team...we take it....Notre dame last year...WIn....Arkansas this year....hopefully win!!!! "My team has ZERO chance of making the final four EVER....so i feel like i have one of teh ONLY unbiased opinions on this forum, and i get crucified for my opinion, which is that ESPN worships the SEC, almost to the point it is unwatchable!!ESPN invented the "eye test" which is fucking retarded...ESPN has had gameday almost exclusively at SEC stadiums...ESPN is a T.V. station.....why should a T.V. station have ANYTHING to do with the outcome of a sporting season??? I would like to see better nonconference games and unbiased reporting
I think that EVERY major Conference SEC, BIG 12, LITTLE 10, AND ACC HAVE 2 GOOD TEAMS AND THE REST ARE JUST MIDDLE OF THE ROAD
AT THIS POINT....
SEC HAS BAMA AND FLORIDA
BIG 12 HAS KST AND OU
PAC 12 USC AND OREGON
ACC HAS FSU AND CLEMSON
LITTLE 10 HAS NOBODY THIS YEAR, BUT ARE A POWER CONFERNCE NONE THE LESS!!!
WHAT BOTHERS ME THE MOST IS THE OVER-EMPHASIS ON HOW "GOOD" A CONFERENCE IS ..WHEN THEY DONT PLAY BUT PATTYCAKE TEAMS NONCONFERENCE, AND SUCH A THING AS AN "EYE TEST" EXISTS!!!
ONE CONFERENCE CHAMP SHOULD PLAY ANOTHER CONFERENCE CHAMP FOR THE NATIONAL TITLE....I THINK THAT IS WHY SUCH HEATED ARGUEMENTS ARE TAKING PLACE ON THIS FORUM!!!! ALSO THE REMATCH THAT WAS IN ALL HONESTY A SNOOZER...HAS CREATED ALOT OF PISSED OFF NCAAF FANS!!!

DID I SAY I CARED THAT THIS BULLSHIT HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 40 YEARS???? DOES THAT MEAN I DONT WANT TO SEE AT LEAST 7 GOOD GAMES A WEEK, EVEN DURING NONCONF PLAY???
