We really don't want him to leave do we?

There is no doubt he will man up and leave but thats not necessary is it?

He brings alot to this forum and is very passionate about the game. I hate for him to leave if my vote counts.

You are correct.  There seemed to have been some SEC haters talking about our non conference games (Alabama, Georgia, Florida, USC) last week which was 141-21 combined score...  I think SEC went 4-0 against ACC today w a combined score of 161-74 and all wins by DD.  

And one final point...I thought Florida state and Clemson would win but their supposed "high-powered offenses" just simply don't exist against any team that can play defense.

 We haven't always seen eye-to-eye............but he does add some spice to this forum. It would definitely be less interesting around here w/o him. I'd just as soon he stick around.

Did anybody actually take his bet? I mean someone that was relevant? I don't think anybody took his bet and then was verified by Boom to make it official

Tree, Packer, here is my take.  Do I ever want to see anyone leave, no, but he brought this on himself.  I remember how he was 3 seasons back.  Helpful, one of the guys, cool and humble, literally my favorite poster and "friend" on here.  Let's call that phase 1 of his time on covers.  Hell 4 years ago he helped me turn a profit in bowl season after losing my behind in regular season....

Phase two:  Two seasons ago he began to get cocky, really overnight.  No biggie, it was kind of funny.

Phase three at the end of last season and this season.  Total egotistical, meglamaniac.  He is always right, he decides if a post is worthy or not, he decides when conversations end, he decides if you are an idiot or not.

I would welcome phase one back, phase two and three can beat feet.

Hey.....the Sooners still have the athletes that can overcome inept coaching. That happened today.  I think you're starting to understand where I've been coming from for so long. I'm not against this team. I'm against the inept coaching. My God...this team has given up 97 points in the last 2 games. I'm afraid to go back and look at how many points and yards they've given up this season. It's truly embarrassing.

He's a pansy this is his life he'll make up an excuse that not enough people took his bet. He doesn't provide anything but biased opinions, so really no he contributes as much as I do... Nothing

Agree on boom's transformation but I don't see too much wrong with having some swagger. My problem is when you allow your emotions to influence your wagering. His '10 things we learned' wasn't really informative. He always found a way to work florida in (proving his bias). Number 10 wasn't a revelation of any sort just an introspective. I mean you wager 15 or so games, you claim to watch more than anyone, and you can't provide consistent feedback on styles of play, matchups, injuries, etc? Just too much negative. I really don't put too much stock in the unit counting b/c, really, I don't think he knows how to get a percentage of a decimal. Just like the 'there, their and they're' I know its not grammer/math class but geez, I know I'm not sending any of my kids to Clemson. Regardless, he knows football, gambling, and hope he doesn't leave.

Boom has already welched on is bet. The bet was a ban. There is noway on gods green earth he is banning himself. He already said in the penalty box that he is gone but didn't contact the mods to ban him. Do you know why????? He is never going to leave. He never would have left but I promise you that had he won he would dog out tideman and call for blood. I said when he made his own bet that he would welch. He is just giving it time than when he gets reinstated he will post and the thread will say. GUYS I AM SORRY I AM A CLEMSON HOMER CAN YOU FORGIVE ME. I am just waiting until he gets out of the penalty box for the post.

No one needs to leave or apologize. This is a public forum, he can says whatever he wants make whatever bet he is willing to. Behind the computer screen, the man just lost tons of doughs on both games. We all know that we are here to gain some insight information. Screw the rest. He stays or leaves or keeps his promise, nobody gives a damn about it. You don't cover his lost bets, you don't benefit from his winnings. So just leave it at that.

He ain't leaving.   

But I think moving forward, it won't be necessary for him to leave.  Why?  Because I think this will humble him back to the original poster from back when (Phase 1 someone said), who by all accounts, seemed like a real quality poster.  I hope so, this site and the reputation he's built here seems like it means the everything to him, probably right behind his family.

BTW, I was gonna take his challenge too until he "disqualified" me since I don't have an avatar or something..which must be the thing that separates "true" posters from the fake posters, even though I've been here for two years.

Dumb bet, but I've made quite a few of them myself over the years.  I would vote to give him a pardon.
