I want to get some advice from some of the top cappers in
here…
I have a few theories of my own, and I want to run them by
you all…
One of the first things I look at about a team is how they
performed the week before. I look at the number of points scored, how well the
QB and RB performed, and how well the defense performed. I also factor in the
team they played, and the status of that team. Was this team ranked? How many
starters did they return from last season? Who is their coach, and how well
does he do against this coach? How do they do at home or on the road? Injuries,
weather… (Am I missing anything here?) (Aside from QB, RB, and Defense, is
there any other factors in looking at a team you need to look at?)
Now here is a big question I have been curious about… What
does a point spread, and it’s movement throughout the week tell you? Does the
public and its impact on a line ever help you determine anything about that
team?
These are just some of the factors I use in placing a bet,
but I would love to hear some new methods that I might be missing out on.
Thanks for reading and thanks for the help.
