Fair enough stat. I understand what you mean and where you are coming from. Understand though too that I have been a diehard fan of FSU and am sick of people like pack saying FSU isn't that good blah blah blah. I am happy both of you won and regardless if you believe me or not I did win a lot yesterday. I def was blowing hot air yesterday when I claimed they would smoke em but that was the homer in me wanting that to happen and me getting tired of hearing people ragging on the noles and claim how great Auburn and the SEC is!
Dont you see though, that is what this entire discussion is about.
It is the people claiming the SEC is overrated, and others claiming FSU is overrated.
It is all peoples opinions, but I think it was clear on the field last night.
Auburn was thought of as maybe the 3rd, possibly 4th best SEC team this year by many many people.
FSU came into this game looked at as "The best college team" of all time. They never had to play a 2nd half, they set every ACC record....they were UNSTOPPABLE in the ACC.
What happened when they played SEC talent?? Most likely not even the top 3 talented team in the SEC...
They fell back down to earth. They only scored 24 points on offense against a bad SEC defense. The Heisman QB looked average at best.
FSU won. It was a great game. They are champs and nothing will take that away.
But, it is pretty obvious that the talent in the SEC is that much better seeing this "best college team ever" needed to pull out fake punts and kick returns to win the game by 3 points against maybe the 3rd or 4th most talented SEC team.
Nobody is taking anything away from FSU winning or being champs....but the best team ever talk and SEC being down is a joke....the ACC is a very poor league, even if they had the best team this year
