The coaching at UNT should be much better this season. The guy who turned UNT offense around late last season (33.8 ppg in last 5 games) will be the offensive coordinator this season, and one of the worst defenses in college football last season can only improve under the new head coach Dan McCarney, who is a defensive specialist.
FIU was one of the most improved teams in CFB winning 6 regular season games and a bowl game. Remember folks, this is a SBC school, and these schools are at the top when they win 6 games and a bowl game. It is highly unlikely to see them improve on that.
The way I see it, this game is more important to UNT.

I highly advise not picking the worst teams in college football no matter how many points they get. Then again I took Colorodo St as a favorite, so shame on me.

Good luck with that

South Carolina is one of those teams that are expected to do big things this season. However, I believe that this team reached its maximum last season. They have no history, and these teams rarelly keep on improving after a season like they had last year.
With a huge game against Georgia comming up next week, I expect S.Carolina to have a lot of problems against ECU. For ECU this is a rivalery game and they could be more interested in getting a win here.

sophisticated? and you cant spell SUCCESSFUL?!?! Hard to take you seriously. Exactly why Im pounding FIU against UNT. FIU has 15 returning starter. 8 on offense including a proven QB and the SBC Player of the Year WR TY Hilton. This is a veteran team with a coach that has been in the program for 5 years. This program is on the rise and should compete for the conference championship. UNT is going the opposite direction. They only have 5 returning starters on offense and their QB has only played in 1 game in his short career. They do have a solid RB in Dunbar but he will be their only offense. If the FIU defense focuses on him then UNT wont be able to move the ball. Last year FIU won on the road 34-10. I see a similar game this year with FIU covering the spread easily in this one!

BTW, English is not my first language. I speak French, Croatian and Italian fluently, and my English is good enough for me.

OKST is another team that overachieved last season imo. They will be good this season but they will not cover the spread every week. In week 1 they can name the score against UL Lafayette but with only 4 days of rest before their next game I expect them to take it easy once they build a 21-28 pts lead.
UL Lafayette can score some points and I believe that 14-17 should be enough for a cover here.
UL Lafayette +37

TCU had the season of their dreams last year, but they lost a lot from that team that had a perfect season. Once again, we are talking about a team that reached the top last year and could have a letdown of a season this year. Baylor has the experience needed here to keep it close.

FIU off huge bowl win and nice year.... Immediately favored game 1 ....by most points in their history?.....vs a team that can really run and off a year with tons of injuries....pumped up with new coach and stadium?...this one has to be the Lean Green or nothing
The impediment to action advances action - what stands in the way becomes the way.

not sure about ULA....like the rest......

FIU has alot of speed as well as one of the most underrated WRs in the country.. young coach as well.. I actually lost money on UL-L last year when they played OK State.. They kept it close for a half, but I believe a turnover and some quick scores by OK State allowed them to cover the spread.. I don't think OK State will play them as lightly this year, especially in their first game.. with you on Baylor though.. BoL this year
